Stony brook accelerated nursing class of 2019

Just wanted to start this thread to see if anyone else has applied to the 12 month accelerated nursing program at stony brook!

Where on Solar did you find the information about transcripts and letters?

I didn't see any messages.

Once you log in, you get to the home page. There's a tab that says STUDENT ADMISSION. Under that, it should say "View Applicant Information." Once you click that, it brings you to Submitted Admissions Application and then you click on the green button that says "View status of supporting documents for this application."

Hope that helps! Mine still says nothing received.. and I haven't gotten an interview :(

Thank you. It says they received my Stony Brook transcript, but not my Suffolk (I didn't send any in) and they haven't received my letters. They just didn't process them yet. I wonder if they will update the system only if the applicant is accepted. I can't see them doing it for all applicants.

Does receiving a Solar ID have any significance or do all applicants get one? Still no interview email :-/

It means nothing basically. I emailed them and they said ignore it. And will not answer me when I ask if I am still being considered. I gave up on them lol

HI Guys,

Does anyone know how much the math and writing portions count? I know i definitely missed a few questions.

IN addition, the interviewers told us that approximately 800 apply, 160 get interviews and 80 get accepted. The ultimate decisions are made by the Dean.

I think today is the last day of interviews. Does anyone else know if they will have a third round of interviews?

Also did the staff really feel like acceptance letters would be sent out in early January or could it be late December?

I believe this week is the last bit of total interviews. I remember when I went like 2 weeks ago, Jan said that 160 or something was already chosen and set up for interviews... If not, would there be one more wave? Also I think the decisions will go out probably December 27th like the past two years... this year seems to be moving at a very fast pace.

Yesterday they said that decision would be sent out in 6 weeks.

They said today decisions would be sent out in January via email
