Hello everyone, I'm currently in the Stony Brook accelerated (1 year) program and here to help with questions you might have. It was useful for me to look at the thread from last year when I was applying so I wanted to get one started for all of you. Feel free to post questions or message me. I hope this is helpful.

Are they still emailing for interviews? I haven't received an email for an interview, so I assume, that at this point they are probably not even going to email me. I feel like or felt like I had a competitive application, but I guess not. I know there's probably still hope, but I can't help but feel pessimistic.

I'm in the same boat CRam1990. I wonder when we would find out if we definitely did not get in so I could send in an application for the basic 2 year program.

I feel the same way too! I was sure my application was competitive, at least to be asked to come in for an interview. I'm just not sure if they have continued scheduling interviewing or what. I also applied to Farmingdale and I should find out within the next 2-3 weeks about that application. I wonder if they scheduled the SBU interviews based on the timing of the submitted application or maybe by last name? Ah everything is driving me crazy!!

I'm not too sure how the interview scheduling goes, but I think last year the interviews went on for at least a couple of weeks. Most of the current class found out in the first week of December whether we got in or not, so people did still have time to apply to the 2 year if they didn't get in.

Hi! When I went for my interview on November 8th they said we would find out if we were accepted in about 8 weeks if that helps.

Does anyone know if they accept students without an interview? Or everyone that is considered a candidate needs an interview?

I guess u never know but I have never heard of someone getting in with out an interview.

Yea, years ago when I was in the program they said they were going to conduct interviews but I never had one. I was actually wait listed and eventually was accepted. Just asking for someone I know that is applying. Do you guys think the interview process has finished?

I'm guessing it's over.... it's been over a month since they last set up interviews.
