Hello everyone, I'm currently in the Stony Brook accelerated (1 year) program and here to help with questions you might have. It was useful for me to look at the thread from last year when I was applying so I wanted to get one started for all of you. Feel free to post questions or message me. I hope this is helpful.

For those that applied at the very end of the application deadline (like end of sept.- oct 4), have any of you heard back for an interview?

I haven't heart back yet and my application was technically submitted Oct 4th once my last LOR was in.

For those who received interviews already did the email come from the [email protected] address? I ask because that address was sent to my spam folder when I got my SOLAR ID.

I haven't gotten an email as well. However, I do have my SOLAR login, in which I wonder if it even means anything, because I doubt they would assign every student to a SOLAR account if they aren't in any kind of way not considering them. But then again-- it can also be a process to assign every student to a SOLAR account if they fully complete their application. I am so nervous, I really do hope I get an email for an interview. I applied to both programs, their 1 year and 2 year, in case I don't get in one or the other, I'll still have some hope for the other. I wanted to brush up on the math exam and study but I don't really know what's on this exam aside from long divisions and that you can't use a calculator, in which I have been relying on for a long time. :-(

Hey there! I was just wondering for the people who are not living at home, do students in the ABSN program typically dorm on campus or do they get apartments off campus?

Hi!

to the best of my knowledge, most people get apartments off campus. a few people lived on campus during the summer semester but i think most people live off campus in the fall (places 10-20 minutes from campus).
