Hey all! Just wanted to lend my support to anyone else who is applying to SB next summer! It's a grueling process :-))

TO the ppl who were accepted, how did they contact you?

Has anyone also applied to SUNY Downstate and Stony Brook? Which would be you first choice and why?

I applied to Downstate as well. My first choice is Stony Brook. Reasons: Driving to Stony Brook will be easier than Downstate (even though it's still a long drive for me coming from Hollis, Queens). Also, I would still need 1 more pre-req for Downstate which I was enrolled in, but dropped it as soon as I got my acceptance from da Brook!

Maybe they're trying to get approval to accept more students into the program than they have in past years, and that's why we haven't heard anything or been waitlisted. A girl can dream, can't she? Just trying to stay positive!!!

Class was cancelled this morning! So I decided to come here and check things out ...

I hope this is the week you guys that are waiting to hear something do in fact hear something! It's gotta be grueling to have waited more time in the wake of all these other decisions, now almost a month past. On Wed it will be a year ago that I found out my acceptance, so I kind of hope for your sake that SBU is aiming for a similar timeline.

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you all know that this afternoon I received an email saying that I am on the alternate list. I cried... I know there is still hope but it is so hard to stay strong and positive. Good luck to those waiting as well. Stay Strong.
