I too am waitlisted. Better than rejected.
Sure is, you still have a chance! Quite a few of my classmates were actually waitlisted before they were accepted in. Congratulations for making it this far :)

Ditto! I am one of Paco's classmates and was waitlisted. I remember my heart sank when I saw that I had been waitlisted, but as Paco mentioned, the program accepted a number of people on the waitlist, even up until the week of orientation! Hang in there...there is still hope! :)
Thank uuuuu for ur input :-))

Congrats to you guys who were waitlisted! That's right, congrats! Think of those of us who were rejected haha we would LOVE to be in your shoes! I know it's hard to stay positive, but until you read the phrase "We regret to inform...." you should have hope and faith that you'll get to attend the 2013 class! Everyone who was rejected, accepted and waitlisted should be very proud of themselves! Joie, I have faith you're going to be a great nurse one day, and you too Chele. You're both hardworking and seem to be very considerate and sweet people! Keep us updated, because I'll be thinking of you guys! For those of you who did not get accepted, and even those who were waitlisted....what were your back up plans!
:heartbeat:redbeathePS. Happy Valentine's Day to all! :heartbeat:redbeathe

Thanks Dollface for your kind words. SB is my only choice, but I did also apply to the basic 2 year program. If I don't get in this time, I will keep applying until I do. :)

I also received an email saying that i was an alternate. I also cried
but you guys are right there is still hope! and in an effort to try and remain hopeful and proactive i have a
few questions to prepare myself the best i can.
The email said that our admission was contingent upon having our BSL
cert before the term begins, the normal prereq conditions of a c or
better, and an interview. I was wondering if anyone could shed any
light on this. They were not exactly descriptive.
I want to know if i should get the BLS as soon as possible and if that
will effect where i am on the list as an alternate? I have some
concern because even if i get the cert on Wed as i plan to the little
piece of paper might not come in the mail for another 2 weeks... Also is the American Heart Association alright to get it from and
once i get it, do i send it in to the same address like we did with
our transcripts?
As for the interview. Does everyone get interviewed? Cause id love to
be interviewed!!! :) I've been dying to get some face to face contact
with SB instead of just being a piece of paper! lol
If anyone has any info they could share to help me out id really
appreciate it. To all those still waiting good luck! and i if i hear of anything ill post it :) Thank you everyone for your support
I got my BLS certificate/card the same day I took the class. I took the class a year and a half ago in hopes of getting into this years program, so my certificate will expire in November. I believe the interview they are talking about is for your clinicals, not to get into the program. Once you are accepted, you have to interview for you clinicals. I'm sure they already know that you received a C or better in your prereqs, otherwise you would not have gotten this far in the process. I'm not sure about where to send the copy of the BLS certificate, but probably the same as where we sent our transcripts. :)
hey kay! ditto on what chele says ;-)) xxoo
I think its a general message that they send everyone- bc we both have the bls and we got the same letter...
