Stony Brook School of Nursing has recently opened the undergraduate application portal for the 2021 school year. I was part of an allnurses thread for their Basic BSN program last year, and the information and support from other applicants was amazing; so I jumped on creating a thread for this cycle as soon as applications became available.
Any questions or even just casual discussion about the program is more than welcome! Can’t wait to talk to all of you. ?

I emailed Pamela with an updated transcript and she told me that she can’t update the application at this point. She asked that I send in an official transcript.
@futurenurseaaron If they ask you to send official transcript, consider yourself in, because sending official transcript is needed only if you are accepted. That's a good sign.

I got my first bachelor in Business (3.6 GPA), I took my prereqs a my community college (3.8 GPA, currently finishing my Microbiology). I also mentioned that I am an Honor student, always on Dean's list, also a member of the Phi theta Kappa
Absolutely Zero experience in medical field, previous jobs were in restaurant. So nothing fancy here. Like we were told during the interview, those who were chosen are just base on GPA and they will add GPA+interview+assessment test to determine who gets accepted or not.
My recommendation letters were from 3 prof at my community college (bio, A&P1 and chem). So I think what they really want is your academic performance, if they care about the experience, I wouldn't get the interview.
