Still waiting to schedule NCLEX

Published

Well I graduated on December 16 th and I am still waiting to schedule to take the NCLEX. The board received my ATT on the 20th so now I guess I am just waiting on an email from Pearson Vue? I'm sure the holidays put a delay on things but I'm ready to know when I can test! Does anyone know how long it typically takes to hear? Thanks!

It kind of drives me nuts when people come and say 'calm down, we had to wait 6 months for results and had to walk to school both up and down a hill, in snow, without boots etc'. I am sure we're all grateful that the process has gotten quicker but that doesn't mean we can't show a little frustration. I know I'm pretty frustrated with my school for not properly explaining the process of registering for NCLEX. Now I'm patiently :) waiting for my ATT so that I can call the nurse recruiter for the hospital I've been working at for 6 years and let her know of the date I am going to test so that I can still be eligible to start my RN orientation in March.

So in the grand scheme of things, no, it's not a huge deal and we'll look back and wonder what the heck we were flipping out about but as anyone who has taken NCLEX knows, it's stressful; whether we're taking it over the course of 2 days with a paper and pencil or we're taking it over a course of 6 hours on a computer.

I feel the exact same way.

Check several times a day. I learned that people move these appointments around all the time and things do open up!!

Taking NCLEX on Tuesday. Wishing it were today. I am ready to be done with worrying about it. Nurselovejoy, that STINKS about your ATT. I would be so very irritated. :(

Yes I was yesterday. I'm praying it comes today. Dates are filing up fast.

I have just decided now to sweat the date. God will appoint me the right time. Once my date is scheduled I am just going to leave it and study my butt off. When I took my NYCLEX PN the first time I do remember that it was the same thing. I graduated end of June and did not get to take it till Oct and passed first time out. I think having all that time to study helped. I don't want to drive 3 hours to take it and I don't have the funds for a hotel so whatever will be will be :)

I just got scheduled for Feb 20th. I was hoping for sooner but I will take it :)

6 Weeks and counting...no ATT...Thats all I can say to remain professional!
