Still waiting to schedule NCLEX

Published

Well I graduated on December 16 th and I am still waiting to schedule to take the NCLEX. The board received my ATT on the 20th so now I guess I am just waiting on an email from Pearson Vue? I'm sure the holidays put a delay on things but I'm ready to know when I can test! Does anyone know how long it typically takes to hear? Thanks!

I am four weeks out and am still waiting for ATT. It is so frustrating. Just let me test already!!

depending on where you are, it may take 4-6 weeks. be patient and use that time to study well.

good luck

I just need to vent. Everyone in my graduating class received their ATT except me:( Apparently someone entered my email address wrong into the system. Now I'm patiently waiting for my ATT to be forwarded to my correct email. -sigh-

Totally wish they can just give me my code over the phone....

I got my ATT but now they are telling me no available dates for 5 weeks they are totally booked up for testing!!!!!!!!!! The first date open is Feb 20th! This is so frustrating! Anone else have to wait?

I sent my information on 12/19/11 and I received my ATT number 12/28/11 by email. If you put your email on your paperwork they will email it to you. I am scheduled to take NCLEX next Friday, January 27th! Wish me luck!!

You might have to travel a little ways away. Im from MD and im taking mine in VA, and getting a hotel. You might want to consider that!!

I agree. You should definitely consider traveling a little. I'm hoping to get mine soon!!! I see a few slots left for feb. close to home. I rather not travel.

My car is just not that reliable :( I tried to schedule a place a couple hours away and they are booked as well. Maybe its a good thing to have the study time but its hard to wait!

deep breath. back in the olden days when we had to take "state boards" with paper and pencil, it took two full days of sitting with hundreds of nervous new grads in heavily-proctored silence, taking 5 separate exams (medical, surgical, peds, ob, and psych). these were usually scheduled in july so we had about two months after graduation to wait for them, you had to pass all five sections or lose graduate nurse status and go back to being a nurse's aide, and we didn't get our results for 8-10 weeks (i got mine in early october).

and people are worried about the difference between a few days and a few weeks? i know this is the immediate-gratification, instant-information age, but you know what? life isn't always going to accommodate that even if you want it to. chill out. in the infinite scheme of things a few weeks makes no difference at all.:D

Dear Green Tea,

Touche :) Its just that I was suppose to start my job Feb 16th and they don't hire GN'S so I am working as an aide.

sign onto pearson vue daily to attempt to reschedule your exam. i had to schedule mine 4 weeks out, but as i checked the site each day, earlier appts were opening up as people were rescheduling for later dates. often the appointments that were becoming available were for the next day- i think people get 24 hours out, panic, and reschedule before they can't anymore. if there is not an earlier date available each time, just log out. you don't have to actually reschedule if there is nothing available at an earlier time.
