Oh thats great! Congratulations! I have a couple of questions.. i hope you can help me. my current status is READY FOR FINAL REVIEW, CGFNS just changed it yesterday. Can you remember how long it took for them to do your final review? and what will be the next step, is it READY FOR SUBMISSION? Thanks in advance!

Thanks. :) It took almost four weeks. But try also to call them for updates. And yes, it is the next step. :)

Cgfns automatically sends the request to the school? Or do i have to call them? how long till the letter reaches the philippines? What are the forms that cgfns requests from schools? Thanks.. Its just that ive been waiting for the request to come to my school

But it seems that it hasn't arrived yet.. Its been a month already....

CGFNS will send paperwork and that will be what your school completes, it will be specific to NY CVS service

Hi. I'm planning to apply for the state board of New York for RN licensure. I'm just getting started and I'm really confused with almost everything. Which one should I accomplish first my application in NY State or CGFNS-CVS since it takes longer? And what about the online courses for Child Abuse and Infectious Control Training? Can I take it in between? Please Help Me. Thank You so much!

CVS is required first before the state will even look at your application. Online courses can be done when you can do them

Yes as NY BON will not look at your application if International trained without it

Hi Silverdragon, I'm already done with the CGFNS CVS for NY state and they have submitted the report to NY bon exactly 5 weeks ago. I have also completed the child abuse and infection control courses but the NY bon still haven't sent me my eligibility. I called this morning and the lady told me that they are just ABOUT TO review my application and that I should wait for another 4-6 weeks. Does it really take that long? I have read many threads here about NY eligibility, and i believe all said that it only took 4 weeks for them to receive their eligibilities. Thanks in advance.

NY BON will only meet I believe once a month or even once every 2 months will depend on how many applications they have to review

helppp guys,im an RN here in philippines and i want to take the nclex-NY, i understand that they (cgfns/ncsbn) will send a letter to my school requesting for my documents and the school will supposed to send my documents to them directly but my school CLOSED!!! :bluecry1: do you guys know how to deal with this? any suggestions, advise and opinions will be much appreciated!!

and also i read from their website http://www.op.nysed.gov/prof/nurse/nursing.htm that the require complete coursework or training in the identification and reporting of child abuse offered by a New York State approved provider..where can i get this, im here in philippines.
