  1. hi! a friend of mine got qualified to challenge the nclex-rn florida. she graduated here in PI, she was not even licensed here because she relocated to US after graduation.. Good Luck!
  2. i did not graduate from any of the above mentioned schools but i have 80% average, 18 mos hospital experience (volunteer), 6mos of which is in the critical care, I'm ACLS certified. I applied last month and they have not texted me yet im losing hope!
  3. hi tintin! when are you scheduled for interview? i think the interview is for the formality only ( hopefully) and also the head nurses will chose RN residents to be assigned at their respective area (e.g ICU, ER)
  4. yes, you have to finish 6 months training
  5. secondary but they are on process of obtaining the tertiary hospital level as per a head nurse
  6. To be hired as a staff nurse depends on your "backer"... you can go there on fridays and take the examination. there is no specific month, they'll tell you when your orientation is. yes, you will get a certificate after the training.
  7. im going there on monday. this is frustrating
  8. i'll Pm you tomorrow night so i can get her complete name and correct title, i haven't submitted my letter of intent yet ..
  9. i did not know about the nov 4 exam
  10. hi! Im still on my second month of the training..just bring you resume and school credentials, board rating certificate, board passing certificate, photocopy of PRC ID and IVT card ( if you dont have IVT yet, they conduct IV training too) Letter of intent addressed to the chief nurse, put all your documents in a long brown envelop, write your name on left upper side. but its ok if you don't have all the requirements because you can still submit it during your regular duty days..the process is pretty much easy and fast. I called them on thursday to inquire about volunteer nurse slot, they asked me to take the examination on friday, i was scheduled for orientation the following day then i started my ward rotation monday , you can pass your documents at nursing service office. SJMC is along n. domingo..Good luck
  11. hi guys! SAN JUAN MEDICAL CENTER is accepting nurse volunteers. it is for "free" well, there will be a 300 pesos facilitators fee. i think its reasonable enough compared to other hospitals that are charging thousands of pesos. it is a 6 months training, more on bed side care; VS q1, IV push, IV insertion, I&O monitoring etc..but only the staff nurses are allowed to do the charting! but you can always read the patients chart so that you can familiarize yourself with nursing documentation. SJMC nursing service office conducts examinations for nurse volunteers every Friday only, its all about fundamentals, calculations, pharmacology, dont forget to bring your resume and school credentials
  12. yes, they will ask you to write down your name and contact number and contact you if there will be available slot
  13. i was there today, sadly there's no available slot anymore, but they asked me write down my name and contact number. They said they're going to contact me once a slot becomes available..
  14. yes the next exam after November will be on may-june
