Hello Everyone!

Im starting my pre-reqs for a nursing program...I'm doing 3/4's time and I have a beautiful 5 month old baby girl. Its gonna be a challenge but its what my heart wants. I was curious to see if there were any other students/graduates who want to keep contact via private message (pm)....the more support for me the better. And im talking about 3 am messages lol. Homework help, Emotional Help...Alll of it lol.

Hi my name is Dana and I also will be starting my prereq soon I start classes feb 11. What classes are you taking Im just gonna be taking anatomy and physiology. I'm here if you need to talk to anyone or need any support.

You can do it!!

Yes it's daunting and stressful and all that, but it's also very worth it! I feel like I'm starting all over again (have a BA in Psychology that I've never used), and I am. The good news is that you won't be able to say that your degree and a $1.50 will get you a cup of coffee ;)

Feel free to PM.

Hi IM Gina I start my Pre-reqs tomorrow:smiley_aa. Im so excited, but i know i will be overwhelmed though. I am taking 3 clases and i have 2 jobs and an 8 yr old daughter. So i can use some support as well. Congratulations on your baby girl. Im here if you need any advice or etc. :bdyhdclp:

I am taking my last semester of pre-reqs and I also have a 1 year old. I sometimes feel a little pressure to be all things to all people (ie: wife, mom, daughter, friend, student...) I look at my daughter after a rough day and I remember why I am doing what I am doing now.

Good luck to you and feel free to pm any time.

Hi! I'm in my second semester of pre-reqs, but it's going really slowly because I'm only taking 2 classes at a time.

I have a 6,4, and 2 yr old.

Good luck, and you can pm me if you want my AIM screen name.

I wish you the best of lyuck in your endeavors. Prerequisites are stressfull, no doubt about it, but take them on one by one, you should do well. I have all of my prerequisites ready, so I'm basically core classes from now on.

you are going to be fine. take it day by day and remember you are making a better future for you and your daughter. i just started my pre-req's and i am married with an 8 and 5 year old daughters. i have been out of school for 14 years.i am a little rusty in some things but some of it is coming back ( slowly ). i have found that everyone of the members here are an excellent support team !!! i also learned that the last hour before my first day of college was the hardest. you can do it !! we are all here if you need us !

you can pm me, also !!!

good luck honey !!!

Hi there,

I just started back to college myself this semester. Taking Biology and Chemistry together. It's been a little bit of a transition but I think i'll be ok.

I work overnights so i'm on here often during the course of the night. If the classes above are any that you are taking, please feel free to PM me or even if you need to just vent.

There are two other forums - Chemistry 2008 and Biology that i've been going to on here to get assistance and give some help where i can.

Good luck to you!!

I'm just starting my prerequisites this semester too. I have an 18 month old daughter so I can relate to the mommy/student balancing act. Feel free to contact me.. I'm taking Biology and Chemistry.

hey there!

i think this is a great request, and i'm sure all of us can relate to the pressure. i'm in my second semester myself, and i just finished my cna class. now i'm going to work at a hospital. some days i don't know how much more i can take with school, work, kids, house, and you name it. there are times where i feel like my head is going to explode, but i just stop and repeat to myself..."one thing and day at a time". it will all pay off in the end!

so, i'm here too. just write!

I'm thinking about going and finishing my nursing degree....i have all the prereqs done but I have 2 little ones.. One is 2 1/2 and the other one is 3 weeks. Plus I have a part time job at our local hospital. My husband is very good with the kids and the house but i'm nervous it will be too overwhelming. did anyone else have family and kids and a job when attempting their degree??? please some advice or suggestions....

thanks
