Hello Everyone!
Im starting my pre-reqs for a nursing program...I'm doing 3/4's time and I have a beautiful 5 month old baby girl. Its gonna be a challenge but its what my heart wants. I was curious to see if there were any other students/graduates who want to keep contact via private message (pm)....the more support for me the better. And im talking about 3 am messages lol. Homework help, Emotional Help...Alll of it lol.
I'm thinking about going and finishing my nursing degree....i have all the prereqs done but I have 2 little ones.. One is 2 1/2 and the other one is 3 weeks. Plus I have a part time job at our local hospital. My husband is very good with the kids and the house but i'm nervous it will be too overwhelming. did anyone else have family and kids and a job when attempting their degree??? please some advice or suggestions....thanks
I know a lot a people that have finished their degree with kids and a job. My home college suggests that we only work about a 20 hour week while in the program but I know moms that have worked full time out of financial necessity. It can be done it just requires a lot more effort than someone that doesn't have the same responsibilities. A good family support is super important and it sounds like you have that with your hubby.
Good luck to you!
