future nurse student needs NET help
I don't know about the NET, but I took thwe AHT, Allied Health Test, and it was based more on quick timing than hard questions. I t was multiple choice English reading, writing, and Math. They gave us 20 minutes fo rthe reading, 11 minutes for the writing, and 18 minutes for the math. I did exceptionally well, seeing tyhat it was fairly easy. Everything was basic, with the exception of a few brain teasers in Math, but overall easy. Good luck.

I just need a little encouragement, today...
Hey, I'm 24 and I just switched majors to the nursing program from computer engineering, I was more than half way towards my bachelors. Although the nursing program is difficult, at least moreso than the CET program I was in, I think it's well worth the extra effort. At times I too get discouraged, but I keep a positive attitude and just take it one semester at a time. Every class I take is one class less towards graduation. Good luck with your prerequisites.

CNA Training in Philadelphia
Community College of Philadelphia has an amazing nursing program. However, submission to be accepted is over this year, and you must apply beginning next winter for the 2009 program. You can try Northeastern Hospital, which is a branch of Temple, Drexel, or Bucks County Community. Good lyuck in Philadelphia.

Male considering career change seeks advice
Hey, I recently changed majors from computer engineering to nursing. Classes have yet to start, but overall I think I made a good decision. For one, this is something I'm very passionate about, unlike computers, oatients are people I can actually help in any way possible. So, you're not in changing paths, although you are changing careers, we have something in common.

Young student
Hey, I'm a 23 year old male, going on 24 this May. The nursing program I applied to doesn't start until September 2008, so I have no idea what my fellow costyudents are like. However, I have to admit that is the least of my fears. I usually always fit in, especially in a program as hard to get in as nursing, youre bound to find only the best of the best, usually the kindest people. Good luck to you all.

How long did it take you to get accepted?
I am currently awaiting for the response. I applied in November 2007 for the Spring session, which starts in September, of 2008. I haqve a 3.84 GPA, my prerequisites are complete, I got a 21.8 in my AHT, and I have no Fs or withdrawals. Although I'm looking good, I am competing against over 1000 applicants for 135 seats. Results don't come in until March, siiiighhhhh!!!

Having hard time with Pre-Reqs
Hey, I am a straight A student, and I have the most difficult time memorizing. It's not just you, it's everyone, trust me. However, we can give you all the personal advise in the world, bottom line is that you need to find your own way. While some make outlines, others make notecards. I, on the other hand, record lectures. For some reason, listening to my Professors' lectures does it for me more than listening to my own personal recordings do. Try everything you can, and if it takes multiple strategies, so be it. Best of luck to you all!
