I know you can do it -- my last job prior to nursing school was assistant manager at a trendy clothing store - talk about a learning curve! :eek: It's scary and exciting all at the same time! Best wishes ashley and other aspiring nursing students!

I'm just going to say one thing that I do know all of us that stalk the pages here at all nurses looking for that one message that's going to just click and then your just gonna know you can do it well sadly that's not going to happen but the fact that we care enough to research hours on end on what to expect and whatever else we look for shows dedication as long as we keep the same drive to know more about anything then I don't see how we will fail we WILL be nurses and then a year or so from now we can come back and hopefully help some one else deciding to embark on this journey kuddos to us for making are future happen instead of waiting to see where we will end up as long as we try and do this we know exactly where we are heading....I hope this motivates those that are looking for it and for those who are thinking about giving up DON'T you go this!!!!!

Very well stated! Throughout my program, I've had peaks and valleys and so will you. During those moments just remember why you chose this career. The best "advice" is to remain open to learning as well as not becoming easily distracted. These fast paced programs are intense so stay up on your studies. Remember to just try. You can't fail if you never try and if you try you never really fail. Best of luck to us ALL!! C/O 2013

Ok we'll today went well mostly going over rules and expectations but we are diving in head first tomorrow they sent us home with a print out of the power points and lecture topics for the next two or three days which no lie will fill up a one inch binder easily and that's only for three days!!! Going over them now just taking a brake to post invade anyone was wondering how it went.. I also wasn't nervous anymore when I got up this morning it was like a wierd since of calm they stressed that this will be one of the hardest things we've done but that it is totally doable I'm more confident now after today and looking forward to the next 11 months

Side note I know I'm getting ahead of myself but oh we'll... I'm one day closer to graduation!! Yay lol

ashley.w, i will say u can do it. I will be done on july 26, as of right now i am just waiting on the time to run out. Its truely bitter sweat, started with 36 and ended up with 24. IT WILL BE HARD, YOU WILL CRY. when you have those days, take a sec to think how far you have come. Doing that will help you when u are down TRUST ME..

I start my nursing journey in LPN school August 20. Girl good for you! When your feeling overwhelmed just take a second to look at it for what it is, you will be a nurse when it's over. The program won't last for we it's under a year of our lives! One year of torture begins a lifetime of financial security for you and your little one.
