Stanford New Grad March 2022

Published

Just wanted to start a page where people can update each other as we all apply to stanford's new grad program! ?

I  just got an email for an interview for Surgical Division 2.  I was stressing like many of you in this chat and I got an email this evening.  Emails are still going out so don't lose hope!

Congratulations everyone! I got an email today for an interview with Medicine Division 2: neurology stroke, medicine, observation. Does anyone know what that means? Is that a med-surge floor or ICU level? Or know where I can get more information.

Thanks!

I'm an OR RN at Stanford and that will be an AAU (Acuity adaptable unit) not ICU.

Congrats everyone! I also received an interview today for float pool, I’m super excited. My interview is the 26th.

I received an interview for the Psych department! Good luck everyone.

I decided to withdraw from the interview process and pursue another offer since I was invited to interview for med surg and my passions really lie with critical care. Hopefully my spot will open up to someone awesome!

After the webinar yesterday, I felt a strong disconnect moving forward with the interview process after they suggested talking about the interest you have in the units you were invited to interview for. I couldn't help but think: it was my 3rd choice, and I only made the choice because I had to! I know there is some mobility to eventually work in a different unit, but I want to jump in right away on a unit I have a strong interest in.

Good luck everyone!

Is there anyone who still hasn't received their ATT, like me? Has anyone had success following up with the board?

Best of luck to you as well! I understand where you are coming from - I too am shooting for a career in critical care. I am optimistic about the mobility as well as the learning environment in the AAUs, though I would prefer to start in ICU too. I 100% feel you.

Yes, I am waiting for my ATT. The board said they're processing transcripts received 11/1 - 11/15. I have no yet set up a breeze account but that shall be my project in the next coming days. My school left us with no instruction so I'm forced to wing it - from what I understand as long as you create a breeze account before your transcripts get processed there should be no delay with your ATT/testing, but I could be wrong.

@bonuscat777I believe that those are step-down units. I was just offered an interview with the Clinical Trials Unit on Jan 26. Good luck to everyone!

Congrats on the interview invite! I also received an invitation for clinical trials. Were you able to schedule in the 26th because I was unable.

Does anyone know if the interview preparation webinar was recorded? I had a work conflict so I did not have a chance to join in & the link isn't on the website. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!
