I'm curious if anybody got their acceptance letter yet?
I just recently took my entrance test - it was easy. They changed the test style. After the first test comes the HESI which I know would be more challenging. The name of the entrance test is not DET anymore. It stinks considering on the application packet it says that the test would be DET and even recommended to buy the book guide - I bought it unfortunately. Anyway, anybody applied to other nursing school aside from st.paul's?
Arg anyone waiting for their acceptance letter? What's your GPA? Are you in the morning or evening program?
hey aimeer79 i took my hesi examm at the end of may, i believe on may 28 but i have not recieved a letter yet. once i finished my exam on that day i asked them when i should be expecting a letter they told me in a week. Nothing has came in the mail yet. I called again asking if would be getting a rejection letter if i was not accepted they said yes. I called again today asking when i sould be reieving a letter bc its been almost a month, the receptionist told me my appliction was with the commitee ad she doesnt know when i wuld be gettng a letter. when did u take you test? and how long has it been? has you called them back recently?
p.s-- i applied for the school in queens
I took the exam on April 30th. I have not been able to get a clear idea of when all applicants will be notified. They have not responded to voicemails I've left. Someone did finally e-mail me back, to tell me that received all my transcripts, but they didn't answer my main question: by when we'd be notified. If school starts August 30th, I'd like to be able to give my job at least a month's notice and the clock is ticking. I applied for Queens, the day session. Good luck to you! Hopefully we'll know soon.
It's been a while since I last posted. Congrats to those who got accepted.
I've been contemplating these past months whether I should attend the program or just re-apply next year. Which is one of the reasons why I wasn't able to post - i was having some serious 'thinking'. I honestly do not know what to do. I really want this but I don't know if it should be my top priority at the moment. The tuition is just too high for me, though I have taken all the pre-requisites already which deducts almost half of the 35 gran. I believe it's more expensive than Beth Israel and LICHSON. The school is also too far to travel for my job.:crying2:
Anyone else got accepted and having second thoughts? I don't know about the loans and stuff...
Alright well I finished my drug/background check and just received my letter in the mail today with information on the first day of class and the mandatory orientation. Separate for day/evening classes, we also are required to take a mandatory BCLS course (unless you are already certified) which is done at the school for a fee of $75.
Im already excited but I wish they would send me the packet with the class information/books and things like that.
Oh well, anyone else in the evening program (Queens)?
Yeah, thats something that I am a little iffy about. So far none of the paper work has specified DAY/EVENING. When I went to pay my security deposit I spoke to the woman and said I wanted to make sure it was for EVENING, she did not confirm it but said she would make a note of it.
Anyway the BCLS is on August 16 for Day and the 17th for evening
Hi bluefly!!
I'm new to the community. I recently was accepted to Saint Pauls (Staten Island) and saw that you were accepted into the evening program. You said that you received your schedule and date for orientation. I was just curious in finding out what time do the evening classes start? Thanks and congrats to you!:)
