I applied to SRJC's nursing program for 2017. I recently got my lottery number for College of Marin, and is in the wait list for CCSF's nursing prog. Still hoping to get in the the jc's program for fall/spring 2017!
Hello All,
i applied for Fall 2018 and have a few questions I was hoping some of you could answer!
1. I already applied back in February, does anyone know when I should expect to gey lottery number?
2. Does anyone know how many students are accepted for each semester?
3. Lastly, if I applied for Fall 2018, is there a chance they would put me in Spring 2019? I saw some students commenting about that and was wondering how that worked.
Thanks!
1. You should receive an email end of May or first week of June. It will be an acceptance or email or a "you are an alternate email". I got the alternate email - and was accepted in September officially. Many people drop, or don't accept, or get accepted to other schools so don't get discouraged right away.
2. They accept 60 students per cohort so 120 students will be accepted for Fall of 2018 and Speinf of 2019.
3. Yes. I applied for Fall of 2017 and got in for spring of 2018. It happens!
If you get accepted into Spring and really want Fall, just email Donna Green right away and tell her you're like to be moved to fall, if a spot becomes available. Worked for me. One thing to be aware of if you are a Spring start-up you can only be accepted into the SSU BSN program ( which is 2 summer semesters and 2 regular semesters) if you are a fall start. Awesome program, you'll have BSN and PHN within 12 months of your RN.
Okay, so I should not expect an email with a lottery number? I was just wondering as I applied and have not received anything up until this point so I wanted to make sure that was normal :) so the next email I should get (if applicable) would be at the end of May or early June and that would be an acceptance email or it would be an email about the alternate list?
Also, did any of you have any classes in progress when you applied? I had the FDNT class specific for SRJC in progress, it's compleed now but it was not at the time of application. Do you know if we have to notify the nursing program when we complete it?
thanks!
