  1. Has anyone received information on the time and location of orientation on 4/18? I was going to check with the director but wanted to see if anyone got anything with details!
  2. The program director is extremely nice it's not necessarily an interview just a casual talk. He goes over details about the program (finding preceptors, clinical requirements, if you might want full versus part time) then basically talks about mandatory orientation, you cannot miss it and that will be final decision day of if you are FT or PT track with all other program information provided. They are taking 75 students - not sure how many applied. But call is very basic.
  3. I got a call yesterday - seems like they are working there way through and making calls!
  4. Haven't heard anything still - hopefully will hear next week!
  5. I applied hoping to hear soon! I had asked a few local people that I know applied and they haven't heard anything either. I am currently in their open university program and taking courses for the FNP program through that - but fingers crossed I am admitted since I've been taking the courses ??‍♀️ I was hoping we'd hear last week since we are on Spring break right now until 3/27. I'm not sure how that will affect decisions since campus is closed. I know in our last FNP Q&A session we were told mandatory orientation is on 4/18 for those that are accepted. So I'd imagine they'd probably try to get notices out by 4/1 so people can plan ahead for orientation Fingers crossed for everyone!
  6. Thank you! I appreciate your quick reply! For clinics - I'm assuming they give you the clinic info then you reach out and see if they have a preceptor available? Are you able to find your own preceptors also if the opportunity arises? If you don't mind I'm curious about the admission process as well. Was it relatively simple? I don't see that they seem to require any essay or letters of recommendation? Unless that's just not posted on the SSU nursing page. Also, once deadlines are done for applications when did you find out you were admitted - March? And was that for an August start? Also wondering your comments / thoughts on the competitiveness of the program and if you know how many students are taken for the program. thank you for the reply and help!!
  7. Hello All! Hoping someone can give me me a little info. I am currently in GCU's AGACNP program. However, I have been having thoughts about switching to FNP, I am in Santa Rosa and am looking into SSU FNP program, as GCU does not offer a FNP within CA. One of my difficulties with GCU's AGACNP program is we have to find our own preceptors which can be difficult especially since it is an actue care program. Is that how SSU's program is? Also are majorty of your classes online? I know this was a older thread and I am just looking for more info! Thank you!

  9. Congratulations! I just got mine back and was not selected. Good luck to everyone!
  10. I applied AGACNP haven't gotten contacted for an interview ? But I was told that they would be making admission decisions by the end of this month and if we didn't hear back by April 1 to contact the program. So I'd imagine based on that they are interviewing during the month of March? Not sure if that's how other programs are doing it
  11. That's probably fine! I emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) before and she seems super nice.
  12. This is what the email said verbatim: "Thank you for your question. The review process will not impact applicants that met the February 1, 2023, deadline. You will be notified of admission decisions by the Office of Student Affairs when the review process is completed. If you have not heard from the school by April 1, 2023, please email me.“ This was from the director ------------------. So if you don't hear back by 4/1 reach out! Sounds like we should all be notified by then!
  13. I applied to the AGACNP program. Submitted everything before the 2/1 deadline, but I know they extended. I contacted the program to see if that would change anything. I was told it wouldnt and we will know by 4/1/23 at the latest if we were accepted. I personally havent heard anythning from them yet.
