Spring 2011 UT Health Sciences Nursing Hopefuls

I am a UT Houston hopeful applying for the traditional and accelerated nursing program. I will complete my science prereqs (A&P 1/2) in the summer. I will finish up with Micro and Chem in the fall. I am so focused right now. Anyone else out there? :)

I haven't been able to check today :/ this morning when I left it said incomplete. I really hope your status changes to accepted!!! I am just glad they're sendin out emails now to let's us know :/

They may still be working on updating the status.

According to the email, they have 3-5 business days until we see any holds updated.

Beside the CPR, what other holds do you have on UTlink?

Finally the email came! :) I'm soooo excited now! I can't wait to meet everyone on the 10th. I'm hoping i'll see some people that I met on my interview date.

btw my stats are:

second degree applicant

hesi overall 90

undergrad gpa 3.75

nursing prereq gpa 3.94

science gpa 4.0

I stil have 3 classes to finish this semester including Micro.

Interviewed one of the last days in beginning of October

I've already gotten started on my pre enrollment requirements! I finished the background check and signed up for a CPR class. I plan on scheduling the rest next week!..

By the way, does anyone know how much the scrubs are at the bookstore? I might purchase mine from a uniform store but I wonder if color matching is important. I know they have to be navy blue but does it matter if it's a certain shade of navy blue? I'm just so excited I want to get everything ready.

This week has been an emotional rollercoaster! My UTlink didn't show acceptance until wednesday! I thought It was over for me because so many other folks' UTlink had changed already. So as you could probably imagine, I went from feeling might low to feeling super high!!! And the email just sealed the deal! Good luck to all who are still waiting and to all who will be starting in January, because we both need it!

I just got an email that I was placed on the waitlist, blue river. My status on UT Link says pending and I have the two standard holds still.

I want to say they are $25 to $30 per set (I think this includes the patch which costs $5 each). No, it doesn't matter if you buy scrubs that are a different shade of navy than what the bookstore sells. If you are not buying from the school just make sure you DO NOT buy scrubs that have a border around the collar or the seems of a different color other than navy. I have navy cherokee workwear scrubs if you guys were wondering.
