Spring 2011 UT Health Sciences Nursing Hopefuls

I am a UT Houston hopeful applying for the traditional and accelerated nursing program. I will complete my science prereqs (A&P 1/2) in the summer. I will finish up with Micro and Chem in the fall. I am so focused right now. Anyone else out there? :)

My interview questions were the same as the others already posted, but my writing sample was different. Mine was "you are the night manager at whataburger, and you have an employee who is never at his grill and doesn't adequately do his job. What do you do about the employee?" I have no real idea what this has to do with nursing school, but okay lol :-)

Had the same one. I think response should let the committee know how you might work with others.

That is an interesting interview question. I would expect something similar if you were applying for a job but not nursing school.

So... this is kind of odd. My holds have updated and now have more, but my status for Spring 2011 has not changed, it still says pending. However, when I changed the term to Spring 2010, Summer 2010 and Fall 2010, it says "You have been admitted to the program for the term shown above".

What does that mean?? I've only interviewed once for UT and it was for the Spring 2011 semester. My interview date was Sept 16. So, I'm assuming that I was accepted into the program, but hopefully for the right semester. Would a retro-active acceptance even be possible? Haha..

I'm just going to assume that I got in..? So, yay!!

Also, I would advise everyone on this thread to not post anything specific about the interviews. I know that it has been discussed on this thread before that faculty members and admissions counsellors do frequent these threads. They have asked us not to reveal anything about the interviews. I would hate for someone who has been accepted have something happen to them based on an academic dishonesty issue, which is what that would become. Just be careful what information you give out on here...

Has anyone's holds changed yet for today? I'm wondering if they are already done updating. It seems that quite a lot of you have been accepted already and considering there are only 80 spots, it doens't look good for me. I'm bummed but CONGRATS to all of you! I haven't given up yet and will keep trying!

There should be and edit button but that is only there for up to an hour after you post. Mine is gone :( I dont know what to do after that.

I don't think that y'all have anything to worry about with posting the questions. I would bet that they change the writing prompt every cycle anyways. Plus there are threads on here from way back! anyone who wants to prepare for interviews would do so through those threads too.

Yes it did change today from pending to provisional admission. I checked this morning at like 8:30.
