I am a UT Houston hopeful applying for the traditional and accelerated nursing program. I will complete my science prereqs (A&P 1/2) in the summer. I will finish up with Micro and Chem in the fall. I am so focused right now. Anyone else out there? :)
when does your winter mini term end? do you know what the last day to finish your pre-reqs is? I still have to take philosophy...ut wasn't accepting my a&p for the longest time and i decided i was going to reapply for summer and retake those classes...but now that they have I'm looking at my options for philosophy.

As far as the critical thinking goes, the way it was explained to me was to read the scenarios and think of it as a ranking system. This was would be the MOST important thing to do next given that scenario. That thought process is what helped me.
i took my CPR course with american heart association. they have different times and dates available if you just go on their site and schedule one. I think mine cost 40 or 45.... i think it was 45 though..
i got provisional acceptance as well.. 4 classes in progress...
my gpa is 4.0 general prerequisites, 4.0 nursing prerequisites. My hesi was 92.99 and the critical thinking was 820 or 840... i dont remember... im thinking it was 820 though...
I am currently volunteering at St. Lukes Hospital since March. I also volunteer at Texas Children's. At the time of my interview, I wasnt volunteering at Texas Children's yet though. I also was in HOSA and Health Science Tech in high school where we would basically go to different medical settings and observe the different careers and responsibilites. (the only reason i mention this is because i graduated high school class '09)
