I am a UT Houston hopeful applying for the traditional and accelerated nursing program. I will complete my science prereqs (A&P 1/2) in the summer. I will finish up with Micro and Chem in the fall. I am so focused right now. Anyone else out there? :)
Okay ladies (and guys),This probably won't help much, but I put together a spreadsheet (yes, I'm a nerd) of everyone on this forum who has received an interview. There are ~28 of us.
Here is the interview breakdown by date:
Sept 15 - 10
Sept 16 - 8
Sept 22 - 1
Sept 23 - 3
Sept 24 - 1
Sept 27 - 1
I know the numbers don't add up to 28 - that's because some people did not list their interview dates.
It's possible they are not interviewing on some dates because there are several dates where no one has listed an interview. Hope this helps ease your mind!!
I've been wondering the same thing!! Mine is scheduled Sept. 20th-noon
They receive more than 800 applications. But that does not mean they are completed applications. I was told they give interviews to atleast 50% of completed applications (that meet all qualifications: GPA, Hours, HESI, so on and so forth).
I wouldn't over analyze how many people they interview. And you have to realize that people apply to other schools, and UTHSC may not be their first choice (crazy, but its true).
I'm also in the 8 am group tomorrow! See you guys bright and early! Goooood luck!!!
So I interviewed today and have now joined the waiting game. I think I let my excitement and nervousness get the better of me. It kept me from saying all the stuff I prepared to say. Oh well...I sure hope they like me enough to grant me admission. Lots of hope and prayers at this point!!!
Just curious...do the interviewers know about our grades, test scores, and such or do they just get to know us from our resume, questionaire, and interview?
I really hate that I didn't articulate myself the way I wanted. I don't have a good feeling...
Anyway, Lots of luck to everyone!!!!

@hnphan - I received an email on my personal email account thay I listed on my application on 9/3 first. Then I received the hard copy mailout dated 9/1 the following week (delay possibly due to Labor Day holiday). My interview is scheduled for tomorrow 9/16. So I think they give at least 2 weeks advanced notice.
@kitcait08 - I'm sure your interview went well regardless of the wait. More waiting ahead. Good luck! :)
