Spring 2011 UT Health Sciences Nursing Hopefuls

I am a UT Houston hopeful applying for the traditional and accelerated nursing program. I will complete my science prereqs (A&P 1/2) in the summer. I will finish up with Micro and Chem in the fall. I am so focused right now. Anyone else out there? :)

Does anyone know around what time clinicals will start?

You will probably start clinicals late February/early March.

Some people brought their laptops to orientation just to make sure they could log onto the school's internet. I brought that and a folder to put papers and stuff in. I want to say that lunch will be provided, but don't quote me on that... my memory may be failing me.

Does anybody know how we can find out what our webmail user id and password is to access out UT email? And also how to find out what our e-mail address is?

This can be done if you have registar for classes.

Contact UT Help Desk. I think their number is 713-486-4848.

They will set up both webmail and blackboard account.

Is anybody else having trouble getting their transcripts sent to UT? I just finished up my last pre-requsite at HCC but they are closed now until january 3rd and I can't register for classes until they get a transcript.........the deadline to register is january 7th...I'm hoping I'll still have time!

I just finished my class at HCC as well. I submitted my transcript request through their online website, and I got an email this morning that said my request was processed and should be on its way to UT via US postal service. However, I saw that notice on HCC's website about being closed until January 3, so I'm not sure if my request was actually processed, or if it was just an automated email that I received. I plan to wait until Wednesday to call UT to see if my transcript was received; if not, I plan to talk to my advisor to see what my options are (I definitely don't want register late).

When did you submit your transcript request? I did mine last Wednesday to be sent off when Fall grades are posted and still have not received an email saying it was processed.

I actually submitted my transcript request on Saturday morning. I saw that my grade was posted already, so I chose to 'Send Now'. I got two emails today - one saying that my order was auto-authorized since they didn't need a faxed signature from me, and one saying that my transcript order was finished processing and would be sent to UT.

I'm curious about how your order got processed when the hcc registrar's office was closed at the time for the holidays...I will probably call my advisor and speak to him about my other options. I hope I get to register on time!

does anyone know how to break down the detailed bill? just curious because i have two charges similar in title and cost. it's probably ok but i would still like to know what is NS U RS TUIT and NRS RES TUI. Also NS DESI SUPP since these are the largest charges i have.
