What prerequisites are you guys taking for spring 2014? How many prerequisites do you have until you move to the general nursing forum? What are y'all's GPA? Mines is currently a 3.7. The classes I'm enrolled in for spring 2014 are:
1) general psychology
2) English II
3) nutrition
4) computer applications.
I have 5 more classes to take before I'm able to start my actual nursing courses.
I am taking: ASL II (American Sign Language), Anatomy (our school separates A & P), and possibly Organic Chemistry. This leaves Micro and Physio in my near future. :) I was going to be finished at the end of 2014, but I am not sure if I am going to over commit myself or not. I may slow down, just a tad, and finish up next Spring, OR I can finish in Fall 2014. Still trying to decide. I have 2 children in middle school and a very supportive hubby, so we will see.
In Spring I will be taking:
Chemistry: Foundations of Organic, Inorganic and Biochemistry
Research Methods in Psychology (upper division)
Research Methods Lab (upper division)
Cognitive Psychology (upper division)
I will be graduating next December with my BA in Psych. I will also be applying to Accelerated BSN programs in November! Can't wait! :)
After Chem my only prerequisite left for nursing is Microbio.
Spring 2014:
A&P II
Nursing as a Profession
French 201
Survey of Jazz
Human Sexuality
Medical Terminology
Some of these classes are because I need some extra classes I need to take in order for me to stay on campus. I need at least 15 credits to stay on campus.
I need A&P II, Micro, Patho, and Nursing as a Profession. I have to take Micro and Patho during the summer in order to get in the program next fall. My GPA is a 3.6
