Spring 2022 Nursing Program at Suffolk county community college

Hello, all future nursing students! I am creating this forum early as I made the last forum for the FALL 2021 program. I found that this is very helpful for questions and to have a support system going through this journey. I am a current Suffolk student that is finished with all of the prerequisites except Micro. I planned to apply for the fall 2021 program but I did not get the grade I needed on the TEAS to apply so I am back at it! Never give up and keep positive! If anyone has any suggestions or helpful resources feel free to comment as this forum is for support! Thanks

This whole month is feeling like forever! 82 on TEAS... but veryyy low rubric score. Super nervous. Hope with a low rubric score I still have a shot. Good luck everyone!

I have a decent rubric score I believe(87ish), but pretty sure I screwed up on the application. Well not the application per se. I went to suffolk 15 years ago. 12 years ago attended another college for a year and am back at Suffolk now. 

I emailed admissions and asked if they had my transcripts etc. They told me yes. The thing is I don't think they have my other college transcript. 

On the application I filled out about the other college and when I email I said "can you please review my app and see if there's anything else you may need" they responded I was good to go so I wasn't even thinking about it. It clicked recently that I don't recall ever sending it to them. 

 

IDK maybe I'm just looking too much in to it. LOL

Do we have to submit our lpn license ?

Yes! If you're an LPN you have to submit it before the application deadline.

Thanks for telling me ! I emailed them and they allowed me to submit mine. I hope we get answers soon.  The wait is killing me !

OMG me too. Did anyone apply to the LPN program? My rubric was kind of low but I applied with the hopes anyway. Does anyone know when they usually start sending out emails for acceptance?

I think mid October. The lpn program might be a little later because I think they offer lpn to some who apply to RN but don’t have a high enough rubric. Good luck !

Blah. I was hoping to get a response before 10/1 when my molloy deposit is due. This wait is killing me. Seems like last year people got answers 1st week in October. Longest 6 weeks ever. LOL

I called them yesterday they told me mid to late October but they’re hoping for the second week

I just called too just to see if they gave a different answer. I was told the "board" is meeting this week. Could be as soon as next week or as late as November. They had roughly 210 applicants for 64 seats between both campuses. As per admissions at ammerman.
