Spring 2022 Nursing Program at Suffolk county community college

Hello, all future nursing students! I am creating this forum early as I made the last forum for the FALL 2021 program. I found that this is very helpful for questions and to have a support system going through this journey. I am a current Suffolk student that is finished with all of the prerequisites except Micro. I planned to apply for the fall 2021 program but I did not get the grade I needed on the TEAS to apply so I am back at it! Never give up and keep positive! If anyone has any suggestions or helpful resources feel free to comment as this forum is for support! Thanks

If you got an 85 or higher on the TEAS that's rubric score is 70 minimum. Even with C's in the pre reqs you'd still be around an 80 rubric score. That being said I got accepted with an 85 rubric I believe.

Hey everyone

Congratulations to everyone that got excepted to a program and to the individuals that have not heard anything there is still hope remember no news is good news. I don't know if everyone is aware but for clinics we have to wear white scrub pants which I hate. I actually found a pair of white scrub pants that are thick enough where you really can't see what you wearing underneath that's water resistance and then actually feel comfortable. Also its not tooooooo expensive.

As long its white I believe thats all that matters. Trust me I have a real hard time finding white scrubs that are not transparent. I really don't like giving free shows to the pt's or co workers. LOL.jk

It depends who you have for clinical but they don’t really prefer it and when someone asked they said no. Shoes also have to be all white and leather/ fake leather so it’s easy to wipe clean. No canvas or athletic sneakers are allowed.
