Spring 2022 Nursing Program at Suffolk county community college

Published

Hello, all future nursing students! I am creating this forum early as I made the last forum for the FALL 2021 program. I found that this is very helpful for questions and to have a support system going through this journey. I am a current Suffolk student that is finished with all of the prerequisites except Micro. I planned to apply for the fall 2021 program but I did not get the grade I needed on the TEAS to apply so I am back at it! Never give up and keep positive! If anyone has any suggestions or helpful resources feel free to comment as this forum is for support! Thanks

Hi Emily!!

I also found these threads to be very helpful. I have applied to the Spring 2022 LPN to RN and am hopeful to get a seat ??

Hi I want to apply for the Lpn to RN program too how many prerequisite do we need

I’m graduating as an Lpn in August and I want to start taking classes ASAP

Hi Johana!

the entrance determination is based on a rubric scale with points. The more points you have the better chance of getting in! The rubric point system is listed on the nursing section.

best of luck ❤️

I'm applying for LPN to RN for the Spring! I am in a facebook group for the TEAS and they have some really great suggestions. I don't personally need help with reading but I heard Carolyn McAllister is great. They've also suggested Brandon Craft for math and Science with Susanna for science. I am planning to take the TEAS soon also.

Thank you guys for the help ?

Hi Sami,

I took the TEAS in March, and I agree I highly recommend Brandon Craft for the math. He was amazing!! I also bought the ATI package and it was very helpful.

Hey Everyone!

retaking my TEAS and reapplying for Spring evening at grant as I didn't get in for the fall 2021.. feeling super stressed !!

Good luck ?? U got this!

Hi guys! Really sorry if this is a sore subject (and feel free to ignore), but I'd love to know what scores are competitive to get into SCCC. For those of you who are reapplying, what rubric score did you have the first time around?

You need to score at least advanced .. I spoke to nursing department and this past year they had the most applicants they ever had so the higher the better

has anyone used any of the "smart prep" study guides directly from the TEAS website? If so were they helpful?
