Spring 2022 Nursing Program at Suffolk county community college

Published

Hello, all future nursing students! I am creating this forum early as I made the last forum for the FALL 2021 program. I found that this is very helpful for questions and to have a support system going through this journey. I am a current Suffolk student that is finished with all of the prerequisites except Micro. I planned to apply for the fall 2021 program but I did not get the grade I needed on the TEAS to apply so I am back at it! Never give up and keep positive! If anyone has any suggestions or helpful resources feel free to comment as this forum is for support! Thanks

Hi everyone,

I was accepted to the LPN program. Not sure if I feel more excited or nervous! ?

Congratulations!!

Specializes in LPN.

Congratulations to everyone. Also please remember no news is good news. For the ppl that didn't get in this term everything happens for a reason. Last year I didn't get in I was super pissed but, a set back for a major come back.

I enjoyed it, but some of the professors weren’t the best. Other than that it was alright. We had 2 nursing classes a semester, first semester was two days a week with no clinicals, and then the second and third semester was 3 days a week.

I graduated from the LPN program in 2016. One professor in particular is super knowledgeable but she is a tad bit messy. Just stay in your books and do your best! The program is a great learning experience.

Thanks for answering ! Last question , did everyone  Accepted that semester have to take all the classes together like a cohort

no there were different classes. but we started with 60 students and ended with 20, so in the end we all did the lectures the same day, but we had different clinicals and lab days

Specializes in LPN/LPN to RN class of 2023.

I’m not really sure, but we can always make a facebook group. I think that may be more user friendly. We would be able to interact before school starts. Do you have facebook?

I made a facebook group. Anyone that got into the LPN to RN advanced placement program, if you want to be in the group please add me on facebook (Ashley Christina Latour) and I will add you to the group.

Congrats to all who got in! Has anyone else still not received a response yet from Suffolk? Waiting on mine still...
