Spring 2022 Nursing Program at Suffolk county community college

Published

Hello, all future nursing students! I am creating this forum early as I made the last forum for the FALL 2021 program. I found that this is very helpful for questions and to have a support system going through this journey. I am a current Suffolk student that is finished with all of the prerequisites except Micro. I planned to apply for the fall 2021 program but I did not get the grade I needed on the TEAS to apply so I am back at it! Never give up and keep positive! If anyone has any suggestions or helpful resources feel free to comment as this forum is for support! Thanks

Yea that’s what happened to me .. same TEAS score .. and I scored 100 in math .. all As for pre reqs..  I didn’t get in for the fall either because my score was similar .. I can’t retake the test until after January 15th so I guess I have to apply for fall with the same scores .. maybe by then they will open up more seats being the high demand

Guys who ever needs to get their BLS for the nursing program here's a place I strongly recommend Long Island Rescue Services – Ronkonkoma 631-737-4313 http://www.lirescue.org.

Are they back to in person? I remember they weren’t for a while

yeah I had to redo mine in may.

I just received my acceptance letter to Ammerman! I got a 78 on the TEAS, a B+ in A&P1, HIS101, and ENG101, and an A in PSY101, A&P2, ENG 102, and Micro. I also graduated from the LPN program at Suffolk in May which I figure is what got me accepted since they save seats for their LPN grads

You were accepted for Grant as well?

If you’re already vaccinated against COVID-19, they want proof of that. You have to take a picture of your vaccination card and send it to the emails provided in your acceptance letter. You have to have at least your first dose by November 1st. They won’t let you into the clinical sites without it. They said to check your Suffolk email frequently. They will be sending info about a background check and a mandatory informational meeting. If you get your flu shot before the informational meeting, keep record of it because it is also mandated that you get it. They will tell you at the informational meeting to get your flu shot and hand out paperwork. So if you get it prior, just have proof of it. You have to do all of this, otherwise you give up your seat. And the deposit is non refundable. It’s all mentioned in the acceptance letter. I will be sending my deposit tomorrow. Congrats on getting into Grant!! I will be going there also.
