Spring 2022 Nursing Program at Suffolk county community college

Hello, all future nursing students! I am creating this forum early as I made the last forum for the FALL 2021 program. I found that this is very helpful for questions and to have a support system going through this journey. I am a current Suffolk student that is finished with all of the prerequisites except Micro. I planned to apply for the fall 2021 program but I did not get the grade I needed on the TEAS to apply so I am back at it! Never give up and keep positive! If anyone has any suggestions or helpful resources feel free to comment as this forum is for support! Thanks

I went up to pay my deposit. They told me they are doing acceptance letters in waves. First round today. Another round tomorrow. Then another wave on 20th for people who may have just missed or are on their "wait list". They are waiting till 20th because if people don't pay deposit etc by 19th they fill those seats. IDK how true. Just what I was told.

Makes sense. Did you pay with card ? I called and asked if a money order was required or if I could use my debit card and the women said a card should be okay.

I got in also. thank god. Remember guys no news is good news also. Do not get discouraged..Cuz you never know. Take into account  people got excepted into other schools/programs.

I got in also. ? I am going to be studying at the Grant Campus. I cannot wait to meet you all. Good luck to everyone who has not heard back yet. I hope you all get good news soon! To anyone who is rejected, remember that rejection is redirection. I didn’t get into their standard RN Fall 2021 program when I applied, but I just got into Suffolk’s LPN to RN advanced program for 2022. Believe in yourself and keep trying. It’s not easy. Believe that God has something better for you on the other side of this.

Didn't get in ?.

Literally an A in every pre-req except A&P II (B+) and Micro which I'm taking now. Looks like the 78 on the TEAS blew my shot. I'll have to retake and shoot for the Advanced score. 

Congrats to everyone who got in!! You guys should be really proud!!

It sounds like you were super close & have been working really hard! Keep your head up and keep on pushing forward for the next time around! 

I found the app to be SUPER helpful in scoring in the advanced range on the TEAS.

@BSNhopeful40 well if you didn’t get in then my lower TEAS score and all the same pre-req grades definitely didn’t get in either - guess I don’t have to wait for the emails LOL wonder if anyone got in with TEAS in the 70s and straight As in the prerequisites
