Spring 2019 Nassau Community College

Published

Hi! Anyone else looking to apply to NCC for the Spring 2019 Nursing Program? I'm so curious and anxious to know if I have enough 'points' to make the cut. How are you guys feeling? How are your points/stats adding up?

If I calculated correctly, I have 144 points.

So I just received an email that I have priority registration which begins November 15th. Wouldn't they HAVE to send acceptances by then?!

I received the same email - so I'm guessing they should send them out by then ..

That would be awesome if we found out before the 15th. This wait is the worst.

Hi there! I received the same email. Just curious as to what classes you would register for if you didn't get accepted. Trying to set up a back up plan in case I don't get in and I don't want to miss registration of other classes. I am finishing my last pre-req this semester (microbiology) and took a nutrition and sociology class. I know I will eventually need chemistry to bachelors degree, so was going to take that but not sure what else. Thanks!

Hi! I would need to take micro in the spring and that's the only co-req I'd need completed besides history. I really don't even want to think about the prospect of not getting in!

How many points do you have ? If you don't mind ?

Hi, I am sure this question has been asked a million times but how do I figure out how many points I have? Thanks for your help! :)

So take the classes that you've taken and passed and multiply you Letter grade (A,B,C) by the amount of credits (3,4) then add those totals up ..

Example : A&P 1 ->Grade A x 4 creidts =16 points

A&P 2 -> Grdee B x 4 credits = 12 points

Do this for all your classes then add up the points ,

then add your points from TEAS -

Then you get 10 points extra for being a Nassau county resident and another 5 points for never being in a nursing program.

Don't you also take your GPA (in nursing classes) and multiply by the amount of credits you have?

I don't think so, this isn't how they told me to do it

This wait is making me so anxious , I'm so scared that I'm now thinking -

This is their last Semester for their 2 year program - wondering how big the pool would be and how high the points would be :(
