Spring 2019 Nassau Community College

Published

Hi! Anyone else looking to apply to NCC for the Spring 2019 Nursing Program? I'm so curious and anxious to know if I have enough 'points' to make the cut. How are you guys feeling? How are your points/stats adding up?

The more prerequisites you finish the better your chances are. I applied last semester but didn't get in so I took two more courses. I am only missing the micro and I am hoping that I can get in. It really all depends on how many courses you've completed and how well you do on them in addition to the teas

how many points did you have last time you applied if you don't mind sharing?

108 points if I added up everything correctly

I've read a few semesters back that ppl got in with 108 .. all really depends on the size of the applicant pool

If Anyone is an NCC Student , have you noticed any changes on your records that may indicate acceptance ?

Hi I've applied to Nassau Nursing program but I didn't go to any Info session so Was there a rubric that calculates your exact ranking ?

It's all based on a points system. The more points you have the better your chances. Each grade is worth something then you multiple that by the number of credits the course is worth.

A=4

B=3

C=2

Ex- a&p 4 credits- let's say you get and A. 4x4=12 points for that course

then they also give points for being a Nassau resident and having never attended a nursing program. Teas scores also give points

Ok thank you, does it go by the quality point system that the school uses ? Where Can I find the points given for the teas test as well as other possible points

I don't know the exact break down for the teas. If you search past threads it's there somewhere or maybe someone else here might know. I just know you can earn either 15,10, or 5 points per section depending how high a score you get.

What were your scores for TEAS READING , Math and English Language usage ? If you don't mind sharing ?
