Hi! Anyone else looking to apply to NCC for the Spring 2019 Nursing Program? I'm so curious and anxious to know if I have enough 'points' to make the cut. How are you guys feeling? How are your points/stats adding up?
Hi guys! I'm new here. I just applied to the nursing program at Nassau for Spring 2019. I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to let me know which courses apply to the "point system". Do electives count?
ENG 101 - A
ENG 102 - A
ENG 204 - A
PSY 203 - A
PSY 216 - A
SOC 201 - A
MAT 102 - A
MDC 101 -A
PHI 110 - A
TEAS:
READING - 85.1
ENGLISH - 87.5
MATH - 96.9
Nassau resident, no prior nursing program
If I take away my sociology, and two other english courses, my points add up to 122. With these electives I'd have a 158. That's a huge difference!! What do you guys think?
SORRY! i should've mentioned what the course names were.
MDC 101 - Making of the Modern Mind (GOWC [history] course that counts towards nursing degree)
PHI 110 - Biomedical Ethics
PSY 216 - Lifespan & Human Development
PSY 203 - Intro to Psychology
MAT 102 - Statistics
ENG 101 - Composition 1
ENG 102 - Composition 2
ENG 204 - Modern American Literature
SOC 201 - Intro to Sociology will these 3 count?
I'm currently taking Anatomy & Physiology 1, Spanish, Communications, and Criminology. I know Communications and Criminology don't matter for nursing but I needed to be full time for financial aid.
Are you sure that's a required course for nursing because I literally have never seen or heard of that class before being required for nursing and regardless of taking anatomy 1 and Spanish now, it stil won't count towards the program, once I fully become alive I canc actually tell you the score you have

Yes totally get it - some classes online we're good for me but others weren't - I hope your search proves to be easy :)
