Spring 2019 Nassau Community College

Published

Hi! Anyone else looking to apply to NCC for the Spring 2019 Nursing Program? I'm so curious and anxious to know if I have enough 'points' to make the cut. How are you guys feeling? How are your points/stats adding up?

Yes totally get it - some classes online we're good for me but others weren't - I hope your search proves to be easy :)

When I come back from reality since the studying took a toll I'll restart my search but I'm going to an event next week which might get me somewhere

Anyone took the TEas At NCC recently?

I took it in August at NCC.

Was there that Central Park passage on there ? I was so confused with it

no I didn't have a central park passage in mine. I did have a weird one about a kid in a graveyard.

Yikes sounds like a scary movie lol

Hi guys! I'm new here. I just applied to the nursing program at Nassau for Spring 2019. I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to let me know which courses apply to the "point system". Do electives count?

ENG 101 - A

ENG 102 - A

ENG 204 - A

PSY 203 - A

PSY 216 - A

SOC 201 - A

MAT 102 - A

MDC 101 -A

PHI 110 - A

TEAS:

READING - 85.1

ENGLISH - 87.5

MATH - 96.9

Nassau resident, no prior nursing program

If I take away my sociology, and two other english courses, my points add up to 122. With these electives I'd have a 158. That's a huge difference!! What do you guys think?

Idk what mdc is but I feel like your stressing for no reason, you'll be fine! I don't remember the specific number names so the classes that do count are: 2 electives, English 101, anatomy 1, anatomy 2, microbiology, biomedical ethics, lifespan, intro to psych, and statistics

Actually now that I'm relooking at this, you don't have any anatomy or microbiology so you may have less points because of that but I don't officially know what you do and don't have

SORRY! i should've mentioned what the course names were.

MDC 101 - Making of the Modern Mind (GOWC [history] course that counts towards nursing degree)

PHI 110 - Biomedical Ethics

PSY 216 - Lifespan & Human Development

PSY 203 - Intro to Psychology

MAT 102 - Statistics

ENG 101 - Composition 1

ENG 102 - Composition 2

ENG 204 - Modern American Literature

SOC 201 - Intro to Sociology will these 3 count?

I'm currently taking Anatomy & Physiology 1, Spanish, Communications, and Criminology. I know Communications and Criminology don't matter for nursing but I needed to be full time for financial aid.

Are you sure that's a required course for nursing because I literally have never seen or heard of that class before being required for nursing and regardless of taking anatomy 1 and Spanish now, it stil won't count towards the program, once I fully become alive I canc actually tell you the score you have
