Spring 2019 Lone Star Hopefuls

I've decided to make this page for anyone applying for the Spring 2019 ADN program at Lone Star CF/K. I'm so nervous and it's still kinda far away! Good luck!

Hey everyone! Finished A&P & English with an A in both and after my HESI I ended up with a score of 7.38! Hopefully that's good enough to get into Cy-Fair because I am so nervous! Good luck to everyone!

Yeah I'm taking A&P 2, Psych 2301, and I'm trying to get into microbio as well! What about you?

I'm taking microbiology at Cypress center with eiler (highly recommend, took him for a&p I), psych 2314 lifespan and pharm at NH.

Is micro a required course or just for BSN?

Medical Microbilogy (biol 2420) is required course for both ADN and BSN. The psych 2314 class is the only one i'm taking that's not required as ADN but it is for BSN.

I'm just curious what kind of paperwork it was that made you have to drop? I'm just trying to be prepared for the worst lol

It was my letter from the BON stating I would be allowed to sit for boards. I had to do a declaratory order instead of automatically getting a blue card because my stupid ex husband cashed a hot check on my bank account and I found out way after the fact. If you have anything other than traffic tickets on your record I would start the declaratory order now.

Oh good! I already did that and have the letter sitting in my closet lol I had to do one because of a stupid charge I got at 17.

Does anyone happen to know what the "cutoff" score was for last spring? I creeped on Spring 2018's forum & people that had 7.376 were waitlisted.. Just a little nervous that's all...

As far as I know it was a 7.4. But a lot of people either fail the drug test or drop the program for some reason before the program starts. I know someone who got in with a 6.9 as an alternate at cy-fair....but that was for fall 2018 program.
