Yes, I took the 8 week a&p 2 and Pharm last year before the program started at kingwood. I’d definitely recommend doing it, that’s a load that’s off your back once you’re in the program. I ended with A’s in both of the 8 week courses.

Yesssss! I saw that on the news this morning. That’s exciting. I’ll be graduating in fall of 2020. It would be nice to start getting my BSN immediately after the ADN program from lone star as well.

I’m not sure about this. I honestly haven’t used to books that much BUT everyone is different. You will need access codes for homework for Kingwood to do vsims and prep u questions. I would wait to see what books the particular program uses.

Pretty much what twin said. You can get shoes/stethoscope/patches. We have navy blue scrubs for the Kingwood program. You can buy any kind of navy blue scrubs, doesn’t have to be a specific brand. Get plenty of notebooks, pens, pencils, etc. Invest i...

It depends on if you’re an in-district or out of district student. I kid you not, I paid over $3,000 my first semester but I was considered out of district because I had moved from out of town. Classes were $1800, books $1200. That isn’t including un...

I really didn’t study for the critical thinking portion. I remember it being lots of priority type questions (which patient would you see first). That’s how mine was personally, not sure how everyone else’s was.

It all depends on your clinical instructor. Some people said their instructors were more strict but my clinical instructor was amazing and very laid back. She didn’t grade hard at all. She was very personable and graduated from lone star as well. She...

I can try and look and see if I can find any helpful resources. When you’re taking the exam, I’d recommend taking breaks between sections. After you’ve finished one section, take a 5-10 minute break to refocus before the next section. I started with ...

Yes it’s very competitive but you WILL get in. Speak it into existence and it shall come. Even on the alternate list, I always spoke it into existence. Pray about it. God has a plan for all of us. Stay positive and focused. Study on quizlet and use t...

You will get in, no worries. I used the Hesi A2 book to study. I took the hesi after studying 2 days while on vacation lol the math and reading sections were pretty basic. I used the hesi book to review A&P, grammar and vocabulary. You can also l...

If anyone has any questions, don’t hesitate to ask me. I’m going into my second semester at the Kingwood campus in August. I was accepted off of the alternate list with a 7.456 last admission period. I ended up getting 2 A’s and 1 B (89.04 lol) my fi...

It was pretty basic to me. Know your conversions and ratio/proportions and you should be fine.

No problem. I’m here to answer any questions if you guys need help or advice. We started off with 81 students. Looking at the roster there were 52 in day class, 29 in night.

Yes, I love it! All of the students and staff are EXTREMELY nice. They go out of their way to help you succeed. I have heard of other programs “weeding out” individuals, but they aren’t like that at all. It seemed like they broke down the information...

I actually enjoyed the night class. I work better with a smaller group than with larger groups of people. It’s also a plus on exam days. You get to study all the way until 5pm instead of taking the exam early in the morning at 9am. So I honestly love...
