Spring 2011 Hopefuls!!

Everyone, Hello,

This thread is created for anyone who is applying for a 2011 Nursing School Program! We can await our fates together. I think that waiting is going to be the hardest part! I am applying to a Community College for an ADN RN program. Applications are due Sept. 20th and we should know by early Novemeber!! My school just told me that they may also consider a math class that I took (with a higher grade) over College Algebra, which would significantly raise my GPA! I am hopeful!! Where is everyone else applying and when will you potentially find out?!

I just applied to the BSN program at California State University Stanislaus for Spring 2011, but I haven't found anyone else yet who is also applying for this program. Good luck to everyone and anyone else who is a CSUS Stan hopeful let me know!

I am so nervous now b/c they count points. I have overall total 95.... i don't know how much chance i can get it... how about your teas and GPA?

I am 2011 Spring hopeful in CSU Stanislaus BSN program.... I can wait to get the letter. The program is points system.

Waiting for get into nursing school is the most difficult time... I even can't concentrate my 15 units: statistics, organic chem... I tried to apply as many colleges i can. I also applied San Jose ever green valley college.

Now, the wait begins to Orientation, and to start the program!! Yay! Good Luck to everyone waiting, I hope the time will fly by for you! And COngrats, COngrats, Congrats to evryone who got in!! So much hard work and waiting has payed off!!!

That's all we can do. I actually have 14 & 9 year old boys. I have tried my best to prepare them and their father that I won't be around very much. I guess we all have to have patience. After all, it's only 7 semesters.

Hey! I have 4 children and 1 husband. I, too, have tried to prepare my family. My husband knows he's gonna have to be the care giver if I start the program in January. I'm a little nervous about it, but, he assures me that he can do it. My kids ages are 18,12,7, and 2!

I have 4 kids too (mine are 12, 10, 7, and 4)! I haven't gotten my acceptance letter yet and not sure I will for the spring term. They go by a points system where I am applying as well. I scored fairly well on the TEAS (got an 89.4%) and have straight A's, but haven't taken A&P 1 or 2 and those give you an extra 2 points each. It will be close. I talked to the admission counselor for the program and she said my points are about 45.89 and last quarters cut off was 46. We will see! I am praying I get in, just so I can get the show on the road so to speak. Congrats to all of you that got your letters and made it in. I am excited for you all......hope to be in the same boat by the end of December (deadline is December 1, so I should have word by the end of December)! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Yeah, I may not get in, due to the fact that I just finished Micro this past summer. I haven't received my letter, so, I'm on pins and needles. My fingers and toes are all crossed for ya.

Decided to join this chat been reading everyones post about how happy they are to finally be accepted and I am still here just waiting to get the acceptance letter!! Has anyone heard from Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga CA? I am applying to the ADN program, applied in Oct and have yet to hear anything, Im starting to go a little crazy I hate the wait!!:uhoh3:

I got accepted at Daytona State College which was my backup. I am still waiting to hear from Seminole State which is my first choice. Either way I am happy to get started this Spring! Yahoo!

Hello everyone...

I am starting my ADN RN classes in (or should I say on) January 10, 2011! WOO HOO!

I will be attending Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, IL. I was actually accepted in December, 2009 but they have a waitlist. When I received my acceptance letter it told me 2012! UGH! So when I got the call asking if I would like to attend Spring at night...I said..uh YEAH! :o)

Good luck to all of you I know you are sitting on pins and needles! Waiting is the pits!
