   BTW, all discounted rooms at the Marriott Courtyard in Homewood - were taken so I am staying at a Hampton Inn instead.

    My coworker started Fall 2014 we get some school discount: Courtyard Marriott gives us student discount 1 king or 2 queen for $99 must book by Aug 3rd or Residence Inn Birmingham Homewood

    Just loans. I agree. Plane tickets are expensive!! My friend and I will be driving the 8+ hours and split the cost.
