  1. Hi, I am on my 2nd semester. First semester as you said we took Patho, Pharm and Phy Assess together (9 credits) - Not easy but--totally doable. I don't think it was a weed-out semester as faculty went out of their way to help us make it. I worked PT but plenty of people worked FT. No study groups. No weekly discussions. The classes are set up for you to succeed. They will send you a link for power points, audio/mp3 or video/mp4 that you can watch from home and a study guide for you to fill in questions as you listen - then you will take a quiz on that particular material. There are proctored exams that are fair -- and you will do well if you have study their ppt, audio and study guide. Yes, this is a LOT to cover in one semester to prepare you for clinicals --hard but doable.
  2. Samford will provide you with a list on your first semester. Start working on that list early - go in person
  3. Program is working great for all of us. I am on my second semester doing clinicals plus 1 class. I recommend you find your ob gyn clinical site now- they are hard to get
  4. Wow! Lisa, sounds like you had your hands full! Glad you are returning.

  11. Yes, I went to nursing school with her. In fact, we met here in All nurses while communication about our nursing school applications Lol I was hoping school would email us with hotels recommendations...
  12. Just loans. I agree. Plane tickets are expensive!! My friend and I will be driving the 8+ hours and split the cost.
  13. Check your Samford email. I got total cost (Tuition + fees) for 1st semester on eBill. Also my Financial Aid is showing Award amount for Fall and Spring
  14. Congratulation lenadee!!! I guess we just need school to provide hotel information so we can plan!! Can't wait!!! Never been in that area either
  15. All the syllabus and information about classes can be downloaded or found on the Facebook page for Chamberlain students I had mentioned in a previous message. Or search FB for "Chamberlain College of Nursing MSN FNP' page. On that page you will find information about what classes other students are doubling up, which classes NOT to double up together, teachers they recommend, info about immersion week, etc If you decide to go to Chamberlain this FB page will be a must. I have been accepted to a school in Alabama, but wanted to share this FB info anyways. Lots of luck to everyone. You will all do great!!
