I know that it's VERY early right now to start gearing up for the Spring 2016 admission but I thought I'd start this post early seeing as I have already started taking my final classes, preparing to take the Hesi A2 test and submitting all my other documents for the program. If all goes well, I will be between 30 and 34 points. How many points do you think you'll be at when it's time to apply for the 2016 spring entry? What's the lowest score that they have accepted for previous entries? Are there any single mothers, such as I, who will be applying for the nursing program? Hope to hear more from others who are getting ready to join. Would love to get lots of feedback!!!!!

I am also looking forward to applying for Spring 2016. The only thing is my immunizations are holding me back. I have already send all of my documents to Sentry and I am getting an incomplete due to my negative varicella titer(Igm and IGg). As a child, I did not contract the chicken pox and the first varicella vaccine I received I had an adverse reaction resulting in blistery sores all over my body and face. I was told via Sentry from the Dean that I will not qualify for the nursing program is I can not get the 2 vaccines or positive titer reading. I have no clue what I should do I do not want to risk having a another bad reaction or go into anaphylactic shock. DO you guys know if there is a way around this? PLEASE HELP!! I will be apply with 31 points if this is not my downfall. :(

Hm...quishia, this sounds like a tough one. I would get advice from a doctor on what you should do and exhaust all resources.

Hello I took maths 1414 for college algebra and when I see it in the nursing package it say 1314 . Is 1414 accepted??

I'm pretty sure they do. It's the same exact class except 4 credit hours I think. The packet says Math 1314/1314. I think it's just a mistake and one should have been 1414. You might want to call just to make sure though. For peace of mind at least. :)

Looks like I got my tDAP in 97', but got the TD booster in 2006. Would I need to get the whole three shot set again or just the pertussis?

The Tdap is just one shot and yes u will have to get that one shot again because its every 10 years you have to get it if im not mistaken.

You should still be covered since you got the booster in 2006. You get titers every ten years, I believe. You are probably still immune. Make sure to get a serology report to be sure.

The list says TD booster isn't accepted. So I would have to get the tDAP again?

Yes... the tdap shot is the pertussis and the booster shot combined...So yes go ahead and get it...

Well, I finally turned in my application today. Now the almost 4 month wait begins... I'm guessing this is going to be a long summer.

Ughh i missed northlake registration for the hesi test...when means i have to do excellent on july 10th...I be glad when this applying process is over...
