Who else is taking it?
Feel free to give background info about yourself. Also please share how you did in A&P 1 and what you learned as far as how to study for it.
I am either going to take 14 or 17 credits, I have until the 19th of January to decide. :) I'm definitely taking: A&P 2, Human Growth and Development (Psych), Med Term, Lifetime Fitness and Statistics. I might also take my second Eng (don't need for ADN, need for BSN later down the road). If I don't take it (I'll then only have 14 credit hours), I'll take it with micro in the summer.I am taking all of my core classes right now. After spring, I'll only have micro left. And then I wait. My CC admits when all pre-reqs and core classes are done and that is based upon when you apply. I applied last August and am hoping for admission to the spring 2011 term, but have recently found out some people who finished their core classes last spring did not get in for this spring. I hope that I don't have to wait too long!
I ended up getting an A in A&P1, I loved my professor! She made things make sense. It helps that she used to be a nurse, so she often related things to nursing. One thing that I used all the time were note cards for lecture and lab. I kept the current ones with me all the time - if I was a few minutes early to pick up my daughter from preschool, I was going through the note cards. I took Lifetime Fitness and would walk on the treadmill for at least a half hour each time and while there would flip through those note cards. It helped keep my mind off of the time and it helped me learn the material. I'm planning on doing note cards again. We can get books starting the fourth of January and I'm excited - I'm going to make up my lab note cards early so that I only have to worry about making up my lecture note cards as the semester goes on.
Looking forward to getting to know others taking A&P2 in the spring!
I too, am taking A&P II and Micro this semester. Along with Developmental Psych and Sociology (don't really need these) these are my last classes before Nursing Fundamentals. I'm praying I get accepted for Fall 2010, I would hate to have to sit out for a semester, waiting. I'm not worried about passing the classes, I worry more about finding time for my two little ones. Last semseter I had Spanish with a lab, A&P I with lab, College Alg, American Literature. My kids were looking at me like I was a Mad woman. This time, I'll take it easy, schedule everything (keeping a schedule does wonders for me), keep my space free of clutter (my mind and my home) and prioritize!!! Good luck with the Semester "Future Nurses"!!

I'm taking it in the Spring. It feels so great to not be posting this in A & P I. At least we have that under our belts! I got a B in A & P I but I could have tried harder. Personally I'm happy with a B. My overall GPA is 3.68. Anyway, good luck to everyone. I think A&P II will be easier than I. We shall see..
I took A&P I last spring online and received a B. I thought that was pretty good since I hadn't been in school in over ten years and I basically had to teach myself. A&P II was a little more difficult for me and I took it online as well. I got a C in the class but I only missed a B by ten points so I am going to blame that on the fact that I got a level three concussion two days before a huge test that I in turn bombed. Good luck to you all!

I try and squeeze study time in. I have two young kids and also volunteer (last semester I worked one day per week too!), plus I carry a full load. I take a workout class and I walk on the treadmill for at least 30 minutes while there and try to hit a minimum of 3 days per week. When I am on the treadmill, I use my flash cards. My flash cards are in my purse at all times so if I'm out and find myself waiting for a few minutes I'll go through my flash cards.
In addition, I go to every lecture and every lab. My lecture professor would put her lecture on itunes, so I'd listen to those as well. I'd reread my notes and make flash cards of anything that I needed to further study. Last semester I even went to a tutoring session a few hours before my lab most weeks. My lab instructor was tutoring at that time, so I'd go in and just ask to look at the models/bones/etc. And then she'd quiz me. I'm hoping that I'll be able to utilize the tutoring center in the same way this semester! I would also sit with a few other women before lecture class and we'd quiz each other.
