i can't remember if we have gone over this lately so i thought i would ask again. what is the minimum passing score in your nursing classes?

i think this goes along with the pass rates. i think the higher the score one needs to pass their classes the better chance they will have of passing the nclex.

the minimum score for a c at my school is 78%.

next............................

i just graduated in may 2002. this is the same grading system and structure my school followed. it was hard to adjust to this at first. good luck to upcoming graduates and those taking the nclex.

congratulations, christel2rn and much continued success!

74% is the minimum for passing :D

In our program, the minimum grade for passing was 80%. A few people that got 79.5% failed.... no leeway whatsoever.

You need a 75 at our school for a C. I can't imagine anything higher than that? Good luck to those that have to pull an 80 all I can say is:eek:

this was stressed to us today. 74.9999 is failing!

80% or above is passing...

:crying2: Starting August 5th !!!

In our school your testing average has to be above 79.5% not the overall average after papers and clinicals are averaged in. The overall grade scale is: 100-94 A, 93-87 B, 86-80 C.

I just thought I'd let you all know about good ole Kansas. The nursing program I am in the min. is 80%. How many people are usually in everyones classes? They accept 45 and then they dwindle. They actually figure that only 40 or less will actually make it to the second year. Just curious???

, ajbabie! welcome to the board. there will be a total of 64 rn students in my program that starts august 26.

Mine is a colaborative BScN program, and the grading is a little weird.. you need a 60 to pass a course, 70 in core courses, and an overall 70 average to continue in the program...and still people failed..i dont know..it sucks if you fall a little below, like 69.9 in your overall (not me thank god!) but i guess it weeds out the ones who dont have their hearts in it :)

here in little podunk southeast ohio, we are required to have a 76% average. they do round up. :)

we start with about 50 and usually only 30 or so make it to graduation. but we do have a 99.8% pass rate on boards the first time around.
