No, I just have nerves of steel, an over-inflated ego, and enough confidence to suffocate someone.

But, I truly am a sweetheart.

LOL an over-inflated ego will not take you very far in this field. The nurses will eat you alive.

The best advice I can offer you is to keep your ego in check and your head down. You did well in your pre-reqs. Cool. Everyone in your class did. It doesn't make you special. You won't make friends. In this program, you are going to want meaningful friendships.

In my experience, the cocky students have struggled the most. Just keep in mind you are among your future coworkers, and everyone is just as smart as you, and worked just as hard to get here.

One week to go!! How excited is everyone??

Is anyone besides me attending the workshops next Wednesday?

This is the final stretch before our lives get crazy busy - I'm ready to start this new journey!!

I will be attending the workshops!

So since we have a week before classes is there anything that would help us by brushing up on a certain topic or no?

I'm also attending the workshop August 9th.. super excited & anxious. Everyone cherish these last days of freedom before classes start, my friend who's entering her last semester has warned me to 'say goodbye to your life, it's sooo time consuming and exhausting!! Really got to dedicate time to it even if you're too tired, it sucks.' Good luck everyone!

Did anyone else's class times change a bit? My class Thursday changed from 3pm-5pm to 3pm-6pm

I'm in the day shift and nothing has changed for my section as of 530pm Monday.

Just an FYI -

I was at CVS picking up my sweetie's meds today and they now have this year's flu shot available. Not sure of the out of pocket expense as my insurance covered it for me completely.

My list is now complete, except for the 3 forms that I hope we'll get on the first day.

Has everyone decided what they're going to use to carry everything around? I'm still unsure on what to buy! I've heard some people use the rolling box crates, just a backpack, and even a suitcase lol so I have no clue what I should get!

I already got my 20$ rolling cart from office depot that came with a lid and i need to get a pencil box.. which it prob going to be a pen box lol... is everyone using the school planner? Or does anyone do the scrap booking planners? Silly question but I know this is a journey in itself and i may want to look at it later..

I bought the planner from straightanursingstudent.com I liked the format and the amount of space in it.

So you printed it then spiraled it somewhere?
