I've been active on a different thread for people who applied to St. Petersburg College's Nursing program starting in August 2018. I made it on the alternate list (still completing Microbiology-finals tomorrow!), but have decided, with the help of an HEC advisor, not to accept if I get offered a last minute seat based on the fact that my only options for clinicals will be whatever no one else wanted. She said I'll definitely be accepted for January and will have top choice of clinicals/instructors, so I'm happy waiting another four months to start. Who else is applying for the Spring 2019 program?
I've heard there's a clinic at the HEC that does cheap or free physicals for students, but every time I've tried to call the HEC lately it says due to the high call volume they can't take my call. I can't find anything about this online. Does anyone here know if that's true or have any information about it?
UPDATE! I found it...it's called NUHS, and they provide free physicals for SPC students! You just need to call and make an appointment (727)341-3760. **also free chiropractic adjustments
Well, I'm ready to find out. I'll probably turn my spot down - I need surgery in December, and could use a little time to recover and earn some more money (not to mention free health insurance). I'll just reapply for the LPN-to-RN in the summer. I'd end up graduating at the same time, anyway, since if I were admitted in spring you can't go over the summer, but if you start in summer, you can. I'll just work my current nursing job for a few more months. Counseling says I'm at the top of the list for getting in the bridge, anyway, so I'm not really worried.
How's everybody feeling today? Nervous, excited, and a little goofy over here! I'm trying so hard not to check my email every five minutes but I'm at work at the midtown campus and my school email is RIGHT THERE in my face!!! Last semester I didn't hear of anyone finding out til kinda late in the afternoon. The suspense is killing me
I literally feel like the girl in the exorcist when she projectile vomits on everything, but at every moment so far today. If my stomach could drop out of my body and onto the floor in front of my office desk it would. I know historically people dont get emails until the late afternoon, but why oh why do they have to make it so late D:
i've been having these super irrational fears lately like "What if i never actually submitted my application properly?" or "What if I am missing some random requirement the whole time and didn't even know it?" Has anyone else had these? lol. I'm probably just whacky
