Hello everyone,
I haven't seen a Spring 2018 thread started for SPC nursing hopefuls so I decided to start one. I am very eager and anxious and I know a lot of you are too. So who else is applying for the Nursing program at St. Pete College for the spring?
A little bit about me. I have a BS in Psych and returning for nursing. I have all my prereqs completed and have a 3.66 GPA.. I have A's in all my sciences except Mirco Lab I have a B. I am super nervous about my GPA knowing that many others have better GPAs. I am holding out hope that other people will apply to other programs. Also historically the Spring is less competitive. I am hoping to get in for the night classes. The application opens on July 1st so we can apply in 3 days!!! Then wait for what will feel like forever. The suspense is already killing me.
Where are the rest of the SPC Nursing hopefuls? Sound off... 3..2..1.. GO!
Okay, then 7 weeks. What are the times and days of being at HEC?
I'm scheduled for Morton Plant for clinicals (DAYTIME); therefore, my schedule goes as so.
Mon- 1-3pm HEC Class
Tues- 6am-3pm Morton
Wed - 6am - 3pm Morton
Thur- 8am-11am HEC
Now with that being said Night time is different so some one else can give you that info but hopefully this helps out.
The list of textbooks when you click on the link next to your schedule in MySPC seems to have more books listed on it than the list of books in the package that is a file under the nursing commons. Which list are we supposed to follow?
I'm also curious. I'd assume (but we all know what ASSuming does, lol) that we would go off of the book list posted in the commons, as that's what was discussed during orientation. That being said, there is still a "Session I" booklist and a "Session II" booklist, both which appear to be for NUR 1, so I'm still befuddled as to which one we should follow. I'll eventually reach out and ask someone, but I feel like I've emailed the faculty a bazillion times since orientation regarding different things, so for their sake, I'll just hold off for now, lol.

Yes, if there are spaces after the first semester, they'll allow you to switch to days or evenings.
