Hey Everyone!
Thought I would be the first person to start a SPC Nursing Fall 2018 thread. Even though we still have one semester left before applying, I thought I would start a thread to get the ball rolling and to see where everyone stands. If are applying for the program in Fall of 2018, please let us know the amount of credits you will have at the time of applying and what your cumulative and program GPA's are. As for me, I will have 30 of 30 credits completed and a cumulative GPA of 3.9, with a program GPA of 4.0.
ATI is a piece of software/books you will use that gives you extra tutorials on skills as well as NCLEX like questions. There are mandatory sections each semester in there that will be proctored. If you do not receive a certain grade/point level then you have to re-mediate that section and retest. - Don't buy this in advance. I do believe you get your access code when you purchase your first box of books.

The tuition fees would be up on the SPC website. I do believe they have it broken down into semester by semester as well.
I know that the first semester you will spend a BUNDLE on books. (Like 1,000). That does not cover EVERY semester. Second semester I did have to purchase 2 or 3 more. Even for semester Three I'll end up getting 3 to 4 more.
Hi everyone! December 2017 Honors grad here. If anyone is interested in buying books on the cheap, LMK. I have every book (minus two, but may be able to get one of those back) on the required and suggested reading lists, as well as notes and study guides. PM me if interested. I am moving and would like to have them gone ASAP. Good luck!!
Im just ready to know either way. When I found out how many applicants they had this cycle it made me very nervous! I have a program GPA of 3.75 with all A's in my sciences and have all of my credits done which brings me to a 67.5 out of 70 points so at the very least I am hoping for a top 15ish alternate spot! I did see that the last GPA accepted last fall was 3.66 so I'm hoping that statistically this round is similar to last fall. 8 more days!!
Me too! I applied in March right when it opened and it feels like I have been waiting forever! That seminar made me more nervous to be honest. I couldn't believe over 500 people applied! I have a plan B just in case though. Do you know what day they will tell us? I know it will be before the 1st, but I wasn't sure which day exactly.
Same here! I figured the time would go by fast but these last few weeks have gone SOO SLOW. I also had a chance to talk to the dean of nursing after the seminar and she said that number of applicants is typically what they get for every cycle and she didn't seem to be to phased by it hahah They said that it should be the 29th because they do not work on the weekends and July 1st is a Sunday so they said to expect emails by then.
I also have a question for any current SPC nursing students. Do you guys bring your books to class or do you just bring your laptops or whatever you choose to take notes with? I cant imagine carrying all of those heavy books around but I did not know if they were needed during lecture. Thanks!

Thank you again for posting, Peachez1. If I took the dance class, it would not be for credit. I just wanted to get my workout in and dancing is my favorite way to work out. I most likely would take a dance class at a studio that is not affiliated with the school. I work nights at a hotel and I have to work 36 hrs a week and at the seminar they had at the health campus, they stressed about how we shouldn't even think about working more than 20 hrs a week. However, since I work overnight, I usually have 2-5 hrs extra to study. I also do not have much of a social life, so I don't have to worry about that. School and work has been my life for the past year.
I was wondering how much each semester is? I know the total cost, but I can't remember how much each semester was. Not the books or supplies, just the tuition itself.
