  1. Hello and congratulations! I wish you all the best! I also want to recommend BayCare to you as your clinical choice - it is a great hospital. I am finishing up level 4 at SPC - if you have any questions, let me know and I can do my best to answer any questions you may have. Congrats again!
  2. Hello ? I am just finishing up level III for this summer. I will honestly say that level I was the most difficult level for me. Everything was completely new to me. I didn’t know what ambulate meant or what hypokalemia was and I didn’t know a single lab value. I didn’t understand why they made us take ATI practice exams on material we had never covered and the concept of care plans eluded me. You also have the most check offs in level I. The thing that got me through was my clinical group. We laughed and cried together and helped each other. They are my closest friends and I couldn’t imagine going through this without them. There is really nothing you can do to prepare. Just enjoy your time now and get ready to study like you’ve never studied before! It took me a while to find a way to study that worked for me but it also depends on how the instructors teach. Just breathe! You will be fine! There is always someone there to help.
  3. That's what I did with my summer disbursement. I put it aside for school. If you need to get any titers or vaccinations, I would definitely go through the health department. They are the cheapest. I was dumb and ended up spending like $150 to get all the titers done when it's $5 for each titer at the health department.
  4. I spent $1428 on all my books but that includes the skills kit and 2 recommended books and a BP cuff and pen light. Then I bought two uniforms, shoes, and school supplies. I'm not entirely sure how much it all was, but at least $1000. I would save as much as you can!
  5. I know, I can't believe it's already here! Three of my things are still pending as well. My friend was told that as long as it was submitted by the due date, it should be fine.
  6. I never got an email like that either so I wouldn't worry about it.
  7. I called the bookstore and they said the access card we received will have all three access codes included in the one code? Something like that.
  8. So, on our book list there is an access card for adaptive quizzing for pharmacology and the nursing process and an access card for SimChart, but I never received those in the book package.
  9. I only got the Elsevier Access Card also, so I am not entirely sure either.
  10. The book store is going to have the fundamentals books? They said they weren't going to have it.
  11. They are called DermAssist Synthetic - Powder Free Vinyl Gloves
  12. I had to order the Davis bundle online through the bookstore because they were also out of that one. I saw the fundamentals through the online book store but she said they had no idea when they would be getting it in and something about the publisher. So, yeah, I'm just gonna get it on Amazon.
  13. Oh yeah, 7am was for clinical days not the first day. Sorry about that!
  14. I'm doing evenings but I believe for days you have to be there at 7am. But I would always go at least an hour to a half hour early on the first day.
  15. I missed it! What did you discuss?
