Hey Everyone!
Thought I would be the first person to start a SPC Nursing Fall 2018 thread. Even though we still have one semester left before applying, I thought I would start a thread to get the ball rolling and to see where everyone stands. If are applying for the program in Fall of 2018, please let us know the amount of credits you will have at the time of applying and what your cumulative and program GPA's are. As for me, I will have 30 of 30 credits completed and a cumulative GPA of 3.9, with a program GPA of 4.0.
Check with the Health Department and see if they have record of your Tdap first. They had shot records for me that I thought were long gone (because I got the immunizations through my old doctor that closed her practice). I didn't even know she sent that info to the health department...so I didn't have to get another one! Yay!
Wow, that is great! Thanks for letting me know this! I will give them a call today.
I had a TDAP booster in early 2016. I know the tetorifice doesn't last a lifetime and there is no titer for that. Despite my booster, I don't have the record, so I have to have another one. Booooo....
Go to the health department like aarnold said. Florida keeps records of all shots. I have a list of mine from them and it shows the shots I got as a baby
Still working on completing the Castle Branch to do list... Did anyone find the Waiver of License Guarantee Form or the Action Plan for Student Success Compliance? I found all the other forms on the nursing commons in mycourses but can't find these two. Thanks!
Both of those will be handed out the first week of school :)
Hi All, Today I found my record of titers from June 2015 when I was getting into LPN school. I also found the record that I had my TDAP booster. On the packet they handed out at orientation, there is information about the titers, etc. They don't give a date for when the titers had to be done except the deadline they gave us. In other words, do any of you think they would accept the titers from 3 years ago? I have an appointment to get the titers done next week but don't want to have to get them done or pay for them if they will accept the titers from 2015. I already had my first TB skin test done and will have the other one done in a week.

I would say because they're willing to accept immunizations that could be decades old, they would probably accept titers from a couple years ago. You could always upload them to Castlebranch and see what response you get. Or you could give Kathy Boylson a call tomorrow, she's the one who told me to call her for any immunization questions I had. Her office number is 727-341-3633 and her email is [email protected] :)
