Hey Everyone!
Thought I would be the first person to start a SPC Nursing Fall 2018 thread. Even though we still have one semester left before applying, I thought I would start a thread to get the ball rolling and to see where everyone stands. If are applying for the program in Fall of 2018, please let us know the amount of credits you will have at the time of applying and what your cumulative and program GPA's are. As for me, I will have 30 of 30 credits completed and a cumulative GPA of 3.9, with a program GPA of 4.0.
I would say because they're willing to accept immunizations that could be decades old, they would probably accept titers from a couple years ago. You could always upload them to Castlebranch and see what response you get. Or you could give Kathy Boylson a call tomorrow, she's the one who told me to call her for any immunization questions I had. Her office number is 727-341-3633 and her email is [email protected] :)
Yay, yay, yay! I called Kathy today and she said these titer results are fine. I had my first TB read today. I had my complete physical today. Only a couple more things to do and I will have everything completed. Whew! Thanks again!
So I got my titer results back today and I am immune to Varicella, Measles, and Rubella, but not Mumps. Ugh! This means that I have to do the whole series of MMR over again. Thing is, you have to get 2 vaccinations and the second one has to be 28 days after the first. I won't have this completed by 8/13 obviously, so I am hoping that they don't kick me out of the program because of it. I'm sure that I am not the only one that this has happened to though.
Where did you go for your physical?
I had my physical done at my PCP office. If you don't want to go to your PCP or you don't have one, you can get it done at any Walgreens that has a clinic. I think they charge around $60 for a complete physical. I would call the store first to verify everything that I am saying. I went to their clinic for my TB test. I went to my PCP for the physical because my insurance will cover it as a wellness visit.

Definitely call Kathy asap. Your situation is exactly what I was worried about when I went to speak with her. For me, the original documentation was enough, but I know you've said you can't get your hands on those records. She would be the best person to talk to and see what your options are. Good luck! :)
Hey guys I was wondering if anyone had the link for the CPR certification site?? Its the last thing I have on my To Do list! Cant believe that its almost August:)
I went through In-Pulse CPR - Get CPR Certification in Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Florida they have a bunch of classes in all kinds of locations so there might be one fairly close to you before school starts. My instructor was Tiffany and she was awesome!
