Hey Everyone!
Thought I would be the first person to start a SPC Nursing Fall 2018 thread. Even though we still have one semester left before applying, I thought I would start a thread to get the ball rolling and to see where everyone stands. If are applying for the program in Fall of 2018, please let us know the amount of credits you will have at the time of applying and what your cumulative and program GPA's are. As for me, I will have 30 of 30 credits completed and a cumulative GPA of 3.9, with a program GPA of 4.0.
I had my physical done at my PCP office. If you don't want to go to your PCP or you don't have one, you can get it done at any Walgreens that has a clinic. I think they charge around $60 for a complete physical. I would call the store first to verify everything that I am saying. I went to their clinic for my TB test. I went to my PCP for the physical because my insurance will cover it as a wellness visit.
I made an appt for tomorrow at Walgreens. And you are correct, it is $60. Thank you!
Thanks everyone! :) Also what is everyone planning to bring on the first day of school?? I was planning on bring my computer, supplies, skills kit and the nursing fundamental book. I feel like they should have maybe gone over that during orientation to ease our anxiety about the first day hahah
Where do I look to see where I was placed?
After you log into your account click MySPC and it should be under the "my schedule" tab. It might take a little bit for them to register you because you were just recently accepted but it will be there eventually! Because the summer semester is over it should automatically default to Aug 13-Dec 17 but if not you'll have to change it with the drop down menu.

Someone on here posted that a previous nursing student gave them the advice to bring all the books and the skills kit on day one in a rolling cart so you don't break your back lol. But I get the anxiety, I don't want to be like the only one there the first day lugging the whole haul when everyone else showed up with a book or two I don't know if I'll bring my computer the first day. I heard they give codes or something for the ATI so maybe it would be helpful just in case. If you're already bringing the rolling cart might as well just stick it in there LOL.

I was told by a previous nursing student to bring all the books AND the skills kit on the first day and highly recommended a rolling cart. I'm also bringing a planner, notebook, laptop, highlighters with me in a separate backpack.
Okay, who has already bought the rolling cart and who plans on it? If you already bought one, can you share your review on it with the link?
I'm going to buy one. After reading reviews and comparing prices I think I'm going to buy the Office Depot mobile rolling cart w/ lid. Decent reviews and the biggest one I can find for the price. I'm hoping the 15 or so books we need to buy fit in there hahaha. Someone on this forum also previously recommended the ECR4Kids MemoryStor Universal Rolling Cart and Organizer Bag Set, Black: Childrens Arts And Crafts Supplies: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific it's a little pricier but has an organizer canvas, though I'm not sure I'll need all that.
Edit: The ECR rolling cart has a designated 65 lb. limit, while the Office Depot one does not specify. Ill keep that in mind because I'm sure all those books will add up to quite a bit of weight and I don't want it to break!

I went through tampabaycpr.com and actually took the class yesterday. It was 3 hours and at the end you take a 25 question open note quiz. Notes are provided. Super easy and informative class. I think it was $50
