Hey Everyone!
Thought I would be the first person to start a SPC Nursing Fall 2018 thread. Even though we still have one semester left before applying, I thought I would start a thread to get the ball rolling and to see where everyone stands. If are applying for the program in Fall of 2018, please let us know the amount of credits you will have at the time of applying and what your cumulative and program GPA's are. As for me, I will have 30 of 30 credits completed and a cumulative GPA of 3.9, with a program GPA of 4.0.
Do we wear our stethoscopes to class or just bring them in a case ? Sound silly but maybe someone else who's new to this also doesn't know !
I am just going to bring mine, but not wear it. I think the first few weeks, we are just learning the basics of nursing and will not necessarily need it.
I am hoping they send out an email telling us what to bring the first day of class... I always bring all my textbooks but the amount we have is insane! And then the skills kit and everything else. Lol
Me too!! I don't think we will need the medical-surgical books until Level 2, so that is a couple of heavy books that we don't have to worry about. It is still alot though and that skills kit bag is heavy! LOL!
Anyone else get the email about doing readings for the first week of school? I started, but when it says to read Castillo, are we supposed to be filling in the answers? Because my Castillo book is more of a workbook.
I never received an email. Who sent it and did it go to your SPC email or MyCourses?
It came from Dr. Marguarite Pels? And it actually came to my gmail account which I thought was odd.
Ah, I just looked her up and she is a Level I Nursing Instructor. She's most likely your theory/lab instructor. Dr. Marguarite Pels | Faculty Profile | SPC
